Yes, I love Bear but I’m giving 1 star because I CAN’T use Bear. I created an account using my phone and then a different account (with a different email address) on my laptop. Now, I Can’t log out and log in again with my new account. I’ve tried to click everywhere, submitted a support ticket, and tried to find the answer online. Nothing helped and I can’t access my account on my phone.
The app works fine on my iPhone but the app crashes on my iPad. I go to click a note or a link in a note and the app crashes. Works fine on iPhone again. I’ve reinstalled it. Still crashes.
This is a nice software. UI is good and the community is flourishing. Moving my 4000 notes from Evernote though has proven to be frustrating. The tags are nice but fiddly (if you delete a mother tag it deletes all bested tags) and the initial sync let's you guessing as what's going on, that's very frustrating. I hope the team can resolve those teething issues, some other parts of the software are lovely and it is no bloated.
Overall happy with Bear but some further develop needed especially expanding Tag management options. As there is no folder method of organising notes, Bear is dependent on Tags for this function. E.g. My request would be to add to the selected notes function menu, the option to not only remove tags but add existing or new tags to all selected as well. Just imported about 800 notes from the green elephant but the task of Tag management to suit the Bear-based method is laborious and time consuming. However, overall is a great app.
There is no app better than Bear for nite taking. It’s extremely simple and minimalistic, but not Bear-Boned (like Apple Notes). It has all the features you’ll need. I love how it has just tags, rather than tags and folders or other kinds fi groups. There’s no ned to have both, so the devs Judy chose one and stuck with it. It can have layerd notes as well, if you want. Notion has more features but is buggy and has way more features than a person needs, and the layout of uneccesaey, whereas Bear is just perfect and simple, and I never experience any bugs.
I've been using Bear on/off since 2017 – it's so easy just to jot something down. I've subscribed again (subscribed on/off as a casual user) and I'm struck by how beautiful the themes are and app icons are and how beautiful my notes look. Just wanted to say thanks for putting the attention into that. The tags make it so simple to browse through notes from long ago too.
This is by far the best app I have bought for my iPad in terms of the amount of pleasure I get from using it. It is so good! I have tried quite a few notes apps, but found they were either too complicated or too simple. To me, Bear is the perfect blend of simplicity and power. It just lets you get on with things. I think I’ve had to look up how to do two things. The rest of the time it has been obvious how it works. And it is deceptively capable. It’s not one of those apps that tries to do everything and that is a big plus in my view. I love how it looks as well. I love this app to bits!! If only there were more apps like this!
Nice app, but it doesn’t even download to the the watch. You simply cannot install this app no matter how hard you try. Pretty useless really!
There is an issue with tables in the the paid app. The cursor moves to the left of table spontaneously while you type below. Then continuously jumps to random spots.
