Cubasis 3 - DAW & Music Studio

The best useless app. Hey haven’t bothered to check if Cubasis has grown up yet. Still in V.2 until. Still as of June 2024.

editing my review still 5 stars. I dont like where the help button is located because when adjusting ios settings like bluetooth n screen brightness it allways click the help button and im super finicky and dont like repeat pressing things to open and close, if we can re order the positions of the panel that has the routing and send effects and automation it would feel better, or in short terms, if we can customize some menuing and or get few themes added to personalize our workflows. the update here semi breaks the master strip on the master bus btw, if you adjust the volumes of the master strip you wont be able to bring the bus's volume to max, it caps out at like 80% and you will need to remove the strip and re add it everytime you adjust something, kind of annoying because I have to tinker to sample things under the master strip and adding and removing the strip over and over takes up alot of time, the workflow overall since the update has added extra steps into everything wether its just changing controls on limiters or other uav3 plugins so many times it takes 5-8 presses to adjust a volume and I tend to need to keep opening and resetting plugins over and over kind of annoying but I dont want to pay for other daws so im stuck using this. one thing that would be really nice if when you close or remove a plugin the sidebar stays closed instead of everytime I change something I have to click 10 different things over and over. idk why but when mixing a track there is like 500 extra presses and bad menuing going on and its come to be so annoying to me I am mentioning it here. if we can get the menuing sorted out to save us time I'll gift this app to everyone I know thanks alot regardless for the awesome app just wishing for smoother workflow routine and less reopening and closing the same items over and over.

Still a few bugs. But the workflow is fluent. Normalize function deletes the stem. Need update.

The best useless app

very useful tool unreal support with auv3, so far one of my only dislikes is when moving around the scrub of a midi or audio event on the timeline if you drag the event to the edge of the ipad screen it starts scrolling it at 5000% speed and sometimes disorganises the events, and whats frustrating about that if you move the normal marker to edge of the screen it doesnt scroll, just disrupts workflow and im sure im not the only one who would like a feature to have the ability to disable scrolling when stretching events.

I’ve been using Cubase for more than 20 years and Cubasis since it came out. Cubasis 1 was great, Cubasis 2 also good but Cubase 3 has got me working extra hard, trying to get it work with Music Studio, Pure Synth, SynthMaster One and my other apps. I have yet to have success. It works wonderfully with iGrand but what about all the rest? Some of my other apps that were available in the older Cubasis don’t even appear on Cubasis 3’s menu. Why is that? Is it perhaps time for me to move on to something that is more compatible or am I just doing something wrong?

To date this has been my favourite Daw on iPad OS. I’ve been using a 12.9 inch iPad M1 and the experience has been very enjoyable thus far. I’m not sure why but I just seem to have a propensity of working, creating and playing music using the iPad. After years of struggling with the bloated complicated mess of Pro Tools and thankfully eventually moving to Studio One Professional and after spending umpteen thousands of dollars in computer desktop software. I find myself happier and more creative in the confines of simplicity without all the ongoing technical issues and hurdles that was a prevalent reality within the desktop realm. I am hoping that the developers of Cubasis will keep up the good work and continually develop the software and have ongoing improvements and features and I would graciously pay for ongoing development towards major upgrades.

Complicated when it doesn’t have to be. About 20 bucks too expensive for what you get

Won’t dwell, but just wanted to render a project and was given lots of options, but no simple conversion to audio.
