Moved from GB a few months ago but honestly more often than not I find myself going back to GB because Cubasis workflow is slower without being able to just move menus with trackpad or move to different parts of project. Also in GB I can copy a whole section one click with makes arrangements easier. Improved workflow and this would be my main DAW
In my previous comment I was complaining about the version 3 bugs (at the time, the app was half baked). However, Steinberg fixed 95% of those bugs (afaik only the Apple pencil bug left) - they truly deliver! Cubasis 3 is extra beautiful. I really like the full and colorful look and feel, with thick lines and wide elements (so they can easily be moved with fingers). I like maximised screens, menu system, media bay, export options... everything feels just right. It also has a very good handling of external synths - no crashes at all. Cubasis 3 is super stable. This is one of the DAWs you must have on iOS, period. 6 stars out of 5!
Just got this app . As a artist I’m using my pencil a lot in I pad pro and I like to be precise. It’s nice to use fingers but it’s 10 time better with pencil , pls cold you fx it some how .
I love how I can sketch an idea on my phone or iPad and easily transfer my idea to my home computer and fully develop it on Cubase.
With the latest update this is a complete full fledged DAW and you can BUY it for the price that some others charge to rent for a month! Record and edit audio Record and edit MIDI Mix and add effects Master! It comes with a plethora of instruments and you can get more (really low prices) in the in app shop They update it consistently Easy to use and there are ton of tutorials online I don’t need a computer to record anymore! I can a carry a recording studio with me!
With Cubasis 3.7 iOS, iPhone, and iPad have the best DAW there is. Sound wise it has everything you could ask for, from instruments to drums to synths with HALion, Neo FM, FM Classics, and now Iconica Sketch. Time signature and tempo tracks have made this on par with Logic. The user interface is the best in the business, the UI is beautiful, and the UX is seamless. With the upcoming updates, I hope to see Groove Agent and PDC (plugin delay compensation), but as it stands, Cubasis is now the king of iOS DAWs. Keep it up Steinberg, you have a dedicated customer for life.
