Works okay, but…
Basically works okay, but such a long way in terms of functionalities. Eg. you can favourite papers but no way of filtering out your favourites. Similarly papers have labels and keywords, but you can only do complicated advance searches for those, they are not included in the filters.
Dejlig hjælp
Appen er god til at hjælpe med at holde styr på referencer, men jeg savner understøttelse af mørkt udseende.
Great but lacking good Apple Pencil support!
The new version 3.0 fixes a lot of issues with the older version and synchronisation of both papers and annotations now works seamlessly with the desktop version.
Annotation was quite poor in the old version so I was really looking forward to having this improved. The new editing features are definitely better, and the app now recognises the Apple Pencil as a stylus. However, annotating with the Apple Pencil is not as smooth as it could be. For example, to make annotations with the pencil, one still needs to open the annotation panel and select a tool before writing on a page. But at the same time scrolling is locked so one has to exit from the annotation panel before moving to eg. the next page. This is unnecessarily complicated. Since the iPad already knows if the screen is touched by a finger or the Apple Pencil, using the pencil should automatically enter the drawing mode, ie. without the need to enter a panel and select the tool. Likewise, dragging with the fingers should always scroll the page (unless a tool is selected and no pencil is connected). The annotation panel can then be opened for more advanced annotations, like shapes, text, highlights, etc.
Also, the default pen thickness of 4 px is much to coarse to make fine annotations in a scientific paper. I suggest this is set to 1 or 2 px instead.
