FineReader Reviews

lack of book mode

I pay a premium for an iphone and a second premium for a mac and still can't scan a book with my phone, only individual documents. complete thievery.

A few words about the quality of service and internet speed.

In 2014, I bought two services on the app. One of them was OCR. Over time, from update to update the scanner became less practical. E.g., the book scanning function was limited to sending a maximum of 10 pages to the server. When I scanned even one page more I risked crashing the whole application and starting the operation from scratch (Holding the phone properly - only one side can orient it - holding the pages in the book, sometimes the automatic shutter release doesn't work, and automatic page cropping doesn't always work either, so you have to do it manually) - in a word, a whole lot of work. So I decided to buy a premium subscription, because I came up with the assumption that all these inconveniences added from one upgrade to another ultimately serve to make the customer graciously want to be interested in this subscription. As it turned out, that's not all. The customer also needs to discover how to buy this service. Any mystery? I tried on three different devices, an iPad and two different iPhones, all with a system compatible with the app - unless the developer's information is false on this point. I went through the Internet - forums and all the FAQs in Abbyy's help center. Unsuccessfully, all the advice turned out to be useless. And here we come to the point - contacting technical support. Dear producers, it's a joke that for a week you have not been able to get my subscription up and running. It took an average of 24 hours to respond to each of my emails, including the first two days completely wasted, because you were unable to read carefully what I wrote. Everyone wants to make good money without any effort. It would be faster for me to buy a car from overseas and bring it to Europe, or maybe you have some stationary boutiques, I'd be happy to drive up and pay at checkout.
