A nice little editor, not the prettiest, but it works well and has most of the functionality I need. It syncs well with DropBox and reloads when the file changes. A lot of other editors with access to DropBox don’t. I mainly use it for coding and latex. Apart from having to forego vim bindings, it’s a great editor for when I’m on my iPad.
In all this app is good for mobile coding on the road, with support for remote access to server and a simple shell. What would make it perfect is some option to customize text editor, like using space for tab, and some support for auto formatting or customizable highlights
I am a web designer and this is the first time I can say I can fully design a website from my iPad without any limitation. All your code is synchronised with your iCloud account, so you can carry on working on your computer later if you want. The only issue I had is that FTP with SSL is not yet available, so sometimes I can’t connect to my clients servers. But it’s a great app, well done!
This is by far the best code editing app available for iPad. I use it for remote editing Python files on multiple remote machines, and it works extremely well! The keyboard shortcuts work great, and the themes look great overall. Would recommend this app to anyone looking for a decent code editor on iPad.
Please add GitHub integration and also light/dark mode themes that you can select editor and app themes based on either selection.
External keyboard not working the space key, so no usefull
I have tried most apps in the top100 for productivity, including most text editors (markdown, plain text, code editors, etc). No other editor comes close to this. Keyboard shortcuts, the new mouse support and many other features are simply working as you would expect. Keep up with the good work, thanks!
I never thought of a coding app out there as slick this one. But please improve on TeX/LaTex. That will be a killer.
This is an excellent editor, but it makes some very poor usability choices. For example, open files are shown in a set of tabs. The font is very small, the text (in all themes) is dark grey on a dark background. I find it completely unreadable. So, unless you have 100% perfect vision (I.e. still, young, don’t wear contacts or anything) be warned. I don’t have this issue in any other application. All in all, a waste of money for me, but would be great otherwise..
I downloaded the app after looking through some photos of it. I saw that it had the ability to use ssh/sftp and allowed the user to bring up a remote terminal in app! I like to develop in python and this is absolutely perfect for me as it allows me to write my scripts and then just pop a shell open using cmd+0 on my keyboard. It makes working remotely on my iPad very fast and efficient, I love it! It’s also perfect for my girlfriend who is currently learning web development alongside a few other things and has the same setup as me, an iPad and a keyboard. This app allows her to edit her code remotely and preview the web page directly from the app. Thanks so much to the devs of this app, keep doing what you’re doing.
