This is honestly the worst app I have on my phone, there’s always something not working wether it’s the subtitles or a black screen or not loading…

The Hayu app is one of the worst out there. Can never watch something from start to Finish without it glitching. Have to uninstall and reinstall all the time on my TV. If it wasn’t for the shows I want to watch I would of unsubscribed a long time ago

I love Hayu but their app is so bad I’ve had to cancel the membership and sign up for Amazon prime and actually pay more to use it that way. The quality is like you’re watching it on an old desktop from the late 90’s, the subtitles never work and if they do they’re out of sync, it doesn’t save what shows you’re watching and then saves shows you’re not watching. You also can’t fast forward or rewind except in 15 second jumps and you can’t quickly restart an episode or anything like that. Just every part of this app is bad. Poorest quality streaming app out there.

Any and everything triggers Hayu to start playing whatever episode you have paused in background. For example, if I watching something and someone calls me, it will briefly pause then when I answer the call it triggers it to play. Same way if I have to call someone quickly when I initially press the call button, it pauses then starts playing again out of nowhere. If I try to send a voice note and the app is paused on an episode, me sending a voice note will trigger it to play. If I don’t pause and simply try to send a voice note (any and every other kind of media will automatically pause) this dumb app will trigger to play at me starting a voice note. If I take my AirPods out it pauses then just starts playing again. It seems to happen ALL the time. I cannot just keep an episode paused for convenience because it will just erratically play either with stupid triggers or just randomly. TO MAKE IT WORSE now the app has started playing the audio of a previous episode over the one I’m watching randomly. Mostly if I pause it, have to do something on my phone quickly then try go back to the app to play. Even when I have closed the app, no episode been playing for ages, once I open the app to begin watching something, old audio plays!!! So weird. Really need to sort it out n do better because I love the content but the app and it’s audio /play/pause problem genuinely makes me want to smash my phone into tiny little pieces and light them on fire :)

Literally has error codes and won’t work more than it does work. Can’t get it on my tv anymore, doesn’t stay signed in then won’t let you sign back in, super glitchy. Has been the same awful service for years.

I love the shows that’s on it but there’s so many glitches I couldn’t even re subscribe to it yesterday because it kept glitching and wouldn’t even load up where to pay for it. There’s sometimes where it won’t even load any of the shows or keeps shutting itself down. Please fix this as it lets the app down a lot.

Love the shows but the app is terrible. Keeps crashing, plays the wrong sound over the wrong programme. Subtitles don’t work. Needs work.

Hayu has all my favourite shows so I love it, but the app is trash!!!! The continue watching feature is completely inaccurate so I have to constantly manually find where I was which is insane. It crashes a lot and I have to open and close the app continuously. I like the my shows feature and the aesthetic of the app and obviously the shows but everything else desperately needs fixing.

Downloaded and paid for this purely so I could download RHONY episodes for my flight. All was well until the plane took off, where the app refused to work without internet. The whole reason for paying and downloading episodes to watch offline was so they would work on my flight. Read about the various glitches and workarounds before my flight home, which had the exact same issue. Do not pay for this purely for the reason to download episodes to watch online.

Terrible playback, doesn't remember your watch history or loses your place in an episode constantly and i experience at least 2 app crashes per session. not worth the hassle- get the hayu subscription through amazon prime instead
