Description

It’s easy with the IKEA Home smart 1 app and TRÅDFRI gateway. Use one setting for early morning lighting and music, another for late evenings and a third for cooking or working at home.

You can dim, turn off, turn on, change colours and switch from warm to cold light. Raise or lower blinds. Turn on your music – then turn it up, turn it down or pause it. And you can even control your air purifier to improve the air quality at home.

With the IKEA Home smart 1 app, you can also connect to Apple Home, Amazon Alexa or Google Home and control it all with your voice.

The ikea skill between Alexa and this app keeps dropping every 12 hrs

Unfortunately, this new ikea app is not as stable as the previous (yellow one) for tradfri. The ikea skill for use with Alexa has to be enabled every 24hrs which means every 24 hrs my lights do not work with Alexa. I have also contacted the Alexa app people because it’s the integration between both is the problem. This is only a new occurance since the new app. Previously for 4 years I had no issue

Connection issues

Doesn’t always connect to WI-FI Have to power off to reset … frustrating

Home smart

Overall very good, issues with scheduling not working consistently

Can’t connect to HomeKit

I tried anything reset the router reset the hub change the hub but still the hap protocol is failing to find the hub.

Worst smart home system ever

Bugs, bugs, bugs, there is an update but damn gateway does not update.

Had potential to be great... been an advocate from day 1.

It’s become a buggy mess. You get what you pay for.

Timer doesn’t work

Timer doesn’t work in any way, app is glitchy

Recent Update has disconnected all devices

Since yesterday’s update my 17 devices have stopped working.

Remote cannot have user profiles

It would be much better if the remote could cycle through a selection of user defined lamp setups.

App is so buggy

With every app update there is a high risk you’ll have to setup everything from scratch again
