LIFX App 4 can not only help give you the best start, but will turn your experience “up to 11”. Automate your wake up Schedule, or set up your movie-watching Scene (then set up voice control so you don’t even have to leave the sofa), or play with Effects next time you’re entertaining.

The LIFX app is packed full of features like:

- The Basics: on/off, dim, change color, change white temperature.
- Groups: control all lights in a group easily, including on/off and dimming with one touch from the Home Dashboard.
- Group personalisation: choose a LIFX illustration to suit or personalise Group cards with your own pictures.
- Schedules: automate your lights to fade, change color, and turn on/off, all visible in an easy calendar-style view.
- Effects: play with special effects like the music visualiser, fire, move, candle flicker, strobe, color cycle & more, all in one place.
- Scenes: set your lighting just the way you like it and save it for future.
- Themes: a library of one click colour combinations for a Group, from ‘Proud’ to ‘Soothing’.
- Paint: with your finger in the app, paint colour live onto your LIFX Z, Beam, Tile and Candle.
- Custom colour palettes: add your favourite colours to a custom colour palette.
- Discover Tab: find How To guides, learn about integration partners, or shop for LIFX

Example uses from our customers:

- Ambiance: schedule warmer light in the evening - to calm - and whiter light in the morning - to energise.
- “Moccupancy”: set irregular schedules to make it seem like you’re home when you’re not.
- Sleep: set your bedroom lights to deep red just before bed to produce more melatonin which helps you get better quality sleep.
- Stay put: you’ve settled into the sofa for a streaming binge but left the lights on. No need to jump up to the switch, just ask your voice assistant.

Can you fix the app for Apple Watch

Can you fix the app for Apple watch, so that I can use the slider on the right side to manage the brightness (turn up/down)?

Utrolig flot farve gengivelse

Forståeligt at LIFX ligger højest på listen over bedste pærer, funktionalitet og brugervenlighed. Med to forskellige farvehjul er det muligt at vælge om du vil nøjes med at justere farverne fra koldhvid over til varmhvid i meget præcise valg. (I advanceret indstillinger kan du slå kelvin tal til, hvis du skal bruge dette til noget). App er dog lidt rodet, eller er blevet det efter mange opdateringer og desværre ikke til det bedre. Den er ikke længere så intuitiv som den var til at starte med. Det er fuldstændig som om, at holdet som startede appen op i tiderne morgen er blevet udskiftet med nogle mindre gode udviklere. Alt virker utroligt besværligt og rodet. Scener ligger i en stor pærevælling i stedet for at der er en form for overblik over hvilke scener som hører til en bestemt pære eller gruppe. Godt vi kun har 6 pærer og 20-30 scener. Det kunne laves så smart. Prøv at flytte en pærer fra en lampegruppe til en anden... Umuligt eller? Hvis det ikke lykkes for dig inden for 2 min vil jeg mene at appen er en ommer. Selve pæren er fantastisk, med indbygget WIFI. Ingen ekstra hardware nødvendig, bare LIFX pæren i hullet, starte app og søge på ny pære. Enkelt. Der er virkelig blus på hvis man synes at 1200 lumen er okay. Men kan man nøjes med 800 lumen og synes det er okay at have en ekstra “router” eller mere korrekt sagt en hub stående, som pæren forbindes til, samt en mere enkel og ligetil app til at styre med, ja så ville valget nok falde på en anden producent. I hvertfald som det ser ud i øjeblikket med denne version af appen.

Hopper af netværket. Ikke opdatere

Har problemer med, at pærerne mister signal til wifi netværket. Skulle aldrig have opdateret. Nu kan jeg ikke få dem online igen.

Big step back

Version 4 is a big step back in functionality. Why can we no longer do simple things like fade on/off all lights in a location? It’s unfortunate that I can’t roll this back to the older version, which was quite functional.

Not impressed

Version 4 or the app looks completely different. But is the same as before. The buttons take up so much screen space that one does not want many light. Let’s face it. No one wants pink or blue light in their home. So why all the focus on this. The app is good for scheduled light one will never change. Like a bonus light in a corner. But not practical for your everyday main light. It is still not possible to create an combined animation (or group of actions). Like red nightlight that turns into a period of dawn that then turns to bright daylight to wake up the kids. Changing this wake up scenario requires multiple steps. Way to complicated if you want to sleep in one day. This system really needs a physical button on the wall in addition to the on off buttons in the app.

Power usage

I wanted to let you guys know, while the new app is nice, it drains the phones battery while running in the background.

Dårlig farve gengivelse.

Lifx pærer kan ikke bruges som almindeligt lys, da farvegengivelsen er virkelig elendig. Måle enheden hedder Ra eller Cri og optimalt ligger denne på 100 for Glødetråd og Dagslys. Almindelig acceptabel farvegengivelse ligger over 90 og nyere LED'er kommer op over 95. Lifx ligger mellem 80 og 90 og deres 'candle' kan slet ikke måles !! Lifx har farvegengivelse som første generation LED og er ikke fulgt med. Hele din stue vil virke grøn og farveløs og værst er hudtoner der ligner galde. Lifx bør opdatere deres teknologi. NB! Denne 'Ra' måling har intet med 'koldt=dagslys' og 'varmt=kunstlys' at gøre. Dét måles i 'K' - kelvin.

Many problems

Very buggy. Fade doesnt work. Dont upgrade.

Siri! Siri?!

Still no HomeKit and Siri support...

Major setback

When i try to use the fade setting it turns off the lights instead of making them fade to black. And furthermore i, along with many others, miss the scene function with all that came with it. And least but not least, one of my bulbs suddenly stopped working, mind you, before the udpate, and i wrote a message to customer service 3 days ago and still have not heard from them.
