The LIFX app is packed full of features like:

- The Basics: on/off, dim, change color, change white temperature.
- Groups: control all lights in a group easily, including on/off and dimming with one touch from the Home Dashboard.
- Group personalisation: choose a LIFX illustration to suit or personalise Group cards with your own pictures.
- Schedules: automate your lights to fade, change color, and turn on/off, all visible in an easy calendar-style view.
- Effects: play with special effects like the music visualiser, fire, move, candle flicker, strobe, color cycle & more, all in one place.
- Scenes: set your lighting just the way you like it and save it for future.
- Themes: a library of one click colour combinations for a Group, from ‘Proud’ to ‘Soothing’.
- Paint: with your finger in the app, paint colour live onto your LIFX Z, Beam, Tile and Candle.
- Custom colour palettes: add your favourite colours to a custom colour palette.
- Discover Tab: find How To guides, learn about integration partners, or shop for LIFX

- Ambiance: schedule warmer light in the evening - to calm - and whiter light in the morning - to energise.
- “Moccupancy”: set irregular schedules to make it seem like you’re home when you’re not.
- Sleep: set your bedroom lights to deep red just before bed to produce more melatonin which helps you get better quality sleep.
- Stay put: you’ve settled into the sofa for a streaming binge but left the lights on. No need to jump up to the switch, just ask your voice assistant.

Changing wifi UX is terrible

I have to now wait for 15 minutes for the app to time out if I want to setup the bulb manually coz I don’t have a qr code. This is the most user unfriendly interface i’ve ever used. Just add a button on the screen and time it out on click jeeeez

Poor update

How does probably the best smart bulb company become the worst smart bulb company. Bulbs dropping off all the time (never used to happen). UK support now doesn’t exist, I have 30 odd bulbs that are just rubbish now, I’ve started migrating to Govee

Lack of uk support, lights drop off all the time

Lifx don’t cover their products in the uk anymore. They drop off the app all the time. Used to be the best, now one of the worst out there.

so unintuitive

you need to fire your ux people. your app is so unintuitive. what's up with the random and weird navigation so hard to move around the app in a clear way, the icons look meaningless. needs a complete ux overhaul.

Lost access to all accessories after last update

Can you please check the latest update for any bugs? App now asks me to turn on Bluetooth to access accessories which have so far been accessed via WiFi. That doesn’t sound right and indeed I’ve lost access to all light bulbs since updating app today. Very inconvenient!

Light Restore doesn’t work!

Another power cut here. Both lights STILL came on, despite Light Restore settings instructing to not do so. One light at least came on at its normal setting while the other was full blast. Light Restore just doesn’t work!

Long time user

Been using the app about 5/6 years it’s just finally had an update the ui is great and works well, it’s robust and reliable I’ve had almost no issues in the time I’ve used the lights and app. I like it works well

Lipstick on a pig

Fancy new look, same cruddy app. Why couldn’t they just make the damn thing work? That’s all users want - we don’t care about updated graphics! The Apple Homekit “integration” just (still) does not work - and you can’t watch the Vimeo video about it because *that* doesn’t work, and you can’t get help because the Help section… doesn’t work!

I’m selling my bulbs…

It needs a lot of improvements, the interface is over simplified and its actually becoming difficult to use. I feel like features and important setting information are hidden in the app.. struggling to delete houses after moving properties… struggling to delete lights.. and the policy of waiting 15 days to delete an account…. so I could have a nice fresh start has obviously ruined my chances… get off your high horse. This is not a bank account. We shouldn’t have to wait 15 days to delete an account…. Get off your high horse. FRUSTRATING.

not very intuitive
