Description

Like you, LIFX wants smarter light. This means we care about the way you control your smart lights, as much as we do about the lights themselves. We make it easy to get started with WiFi-enabled, bright, colorful smart lights that need no hub. Yep, you can start with just one device.

LIFX App 4 can not only help give you the best start, but will turn your experience “up to 11”. Automate your wake up Schedule, or set up your movie-watching Scene (then set up voice control so you don’t even have to leave the sofa), or play with Effects next time you’re entertaining.

Features.
The LIFX app is packed full of features like:

- The Basics: on/off, dim, change color, change white temperature.
- Groups: control all lights in a group easily, including on/off and dimming with one touch from the Home Dashboard.
- Group personalisation: choose a LIFX illustration to suit or personalise Group cards with your own pictures.
- Schedules: automate your lights to fade, change color, and turn on/off, all visible in an easy calendar-style view.
- Effects: play with special effects like the music visualiser, fire, move, candle flicker, strobe, color cycle & more, all in one place.
- Scenes: set your lighting just the way you like it and save it for future.
- Themes: a library of one click colour combinations for a Group, from ‘Proud’ to ‘Soothing’.
- Paint: with your finger in the app, paint colour live onto your LIFX Z, Beam, Tile and Candle.
- Custom colour palettes: add your favourite colours to a custom colour palette.
- Discover Tab: find How To guides, learn about integration partners, or shop for LIFX
- and much more.

Example uses from our customers:

- Ambiance: schedule warmer light in the evening - to calm - and whiter light in the morning - to energise.
- “Moccupancy”: set irregular schedules to make it seem like you’re home when you’re not.
- Sleep: set your bedroom lights to deep red just before bed to produce more melatonin which helps you get better quality sleep.
- Stay put: you’ve settled into the sofa for a streaming binge but left the lights on. No need to jump up to the switch, just ask your voice assistant.
- Pet owners: if you’re unexpectedly late home from work, turn the lights on for your dog from wherever you are.
- Silent notifications: use partner apps to give you a light flash if… your car is arriving, or the forecast says it will rain, or you are mentioned on social media, and much more.

Stopped working

Sparklingwine on

Stoped working after 2 years. And cannot for the love of God be found in Apple HomeKit. Also, I don’t want to use it with HomeKit. But if I am now forced to it, it’d be great if it worked.

Value devastated by poor 2023 scheduling function

sceptix90 on

I bought the lamps a few years back in order to schedule the lighting, and for the rare occasions, change their colors. The new 2023 scheduling function is a pain to use and makes the lamps almost completely useless. I can no longer efficiently change the timing. The menus are deep and require you to click twice as many times now in order to change something that was very well presented earlier. I miss my light curve. It allowed me to see when the lights were going to turn on, how much sleep I could get, to easily tune the mood when I have guests. Couldn’t you instead have improved upon the system rather than scrapping it? You could have had multiple curves overlaid for multiple rooms. You could have made it easier to add colors to the lights in the curve. In fact, you could have made everything in the app revolve around the curve. It would have made the user experience so much easier. Say - I wanted to watch a film and set the mood? Drag a period in time along the main axis and tag it with a specific mood, like effects and colors. Say - I wanted to synchronize multiple rooms? Allow me to cluster individual curves. Each could represent a lamp, and they could belong to different clusters with different types of synchronization, eg color or brightness. Please revert this feature. Do things the Apple-way: make it just work, as simple and intuitively understandable as possible.

This is a five star review on the lights🫤

The Lifx has the best and brightest colours all across, but the worst connectivity in the universe! AND everything is very pricy! Lifx bulbs will not connect to the lifx app without the homekit code being processed - which seemingly is making the bulb lose contact with the router. All tips on workaround tips from the lifx company are OLD - and will not work. What if we just could connect the bulbs to the app - and THEN descide IF to connect to the HK!?!! I’ve been using Lifx bulb for 5+ years, and now i’ve finally had it; To much hassle and connectivity ossues. NO more throwing $$$$ after this outdated tech company!!!! They’ve known about these issues for years now, and nothing has been done! Lifx - tech boomer - step into 2022 please!!!

5ghz support please??

camellicker on

I really like LIFX and have used it for years. Moved to a new place , can’t set it up since my router only have 5ghz or 24ghz. Who still uses 2,4 ghz? So now my stuff is unable to connect and I have just a bunch of big light bulbs with strong white lights;( The 5 stars is a nice way of saying: please update and make 5ghz support please

Bad connections

It’s hard to connect up new lights, the software is fairly unstable. You can’t create scenes The only reason to use this app, is because it’s the only working software for LIFX products

How do you delete light strips?

kdkdksnl on

I can’t remember how to delete light strips😬 Can somebody help me?

Give back the previous version

magda765 on

This update: - took away the ability to customize the brightness of a color on the colorwheel - took away the ability to change the speed of for exaple the «move» animation - did nothing to fix the chaos that is the music visualiser (how about the app analysing the beat of the song through a streaming service instead of it being «sound based» (or at least claiming to be)) - was tailored specificly to people with several lights in their property which makes my ONE and only lightstrip unnecesarely complicated to operate

Dårlig støtte
