Unreasonable subscription strategy
I bought access to LogTen on both Mac and iPhone back in 2012. It was NOT a subscription, but a one time payment for each of the two devices. I am not interested in being dependent on a subscription, throughout a 20+ year flying career, as I only use the logbook to “count hours” which a homemade spreadsheet technically could do just as well.
However, a few years back suddenly LogTen “stopped updating” the app, and when I complained that it was no longer working on my iPhone, I was informed that I could just refrain from software updating my phone.
Frankly this is pure disrespect towards a customer that decided to support LogTen, when it was still early days.
I am not asking for freebies, as any service will cost something, but it seems that LogTen has gotten too big to care about the individual customer, and the service of these.
I make a stern effort to let as many colleagues as possible know, that they should avoid LogTen, and instead go with a logbook supplier that offer better customer service, and a better price, for a fairly simple product.

Only reason for "only 4 stars" is the annual fee, slightly expensive compared to market.

Finally, I found the time to export my logbook and get out of Coradines claws!
Started out paying for an iPad app and a MacBook app. Lifetime was the promise from Coradine!
I only need a simple logbook to record my flying hours. No need for a lot of complex features.
iOS 12 came and Coradine saw an opening to make more money. One of a sudden lifetime apps was out and now you had to buy a subscription to use what you already paid for! This trend continued in various ways and I believe it will never stop.
So get out while you can and best of all NEVER get in!

Broken promises.
I have been a customer for years, and bought the version of the app, where subscription was not required.
Suddenly after a phone update, I am given notice that I will no longer be able to use my logbook (with thousands of hours logged in it) unless I buy a subscription.
When I queried this I was told that I could keep using the logbook so long as I did not update the software on my devices, and that LogTen therefore had kept their word.
This is completely absurd, and LogTen is of course very well aware that it is not an option (and now also too late), to not do software update.
I feel completely tricked by this company, and I have now changed logbook provider.
Moneyscam
Paid a high Price for logten once.. Then they stopped updating the app, making it unusable on New IOS.. now they want me to pay again on a monthly basis. Dont give these people your money - plenty of other good logbooks out there that doesn’t require a continuous flow of money.
Way too expensive
Good logbook, but way too pricy for something, that in the end is just some sort of a spread sheet.
Good product, but much to expensive.
I think it is a good product, but is has become bad value for money. As a regular airline pilot i have to pay for many functions of which i have no need or use. I have been a customer for 8 year and the value/money keeps decreasing now with a very expensive anual fee. I am seriously considering switching to another provider.
Scam
Bastards charged me single amount for app on 3 different Apple devices some years ago. Price was a one time payment, so quite high (don’t recall exactly, approx 100 dollars pr device). There has been no update to my purchase for quite some time (since they started with subscription service) and now with iOS 11 my logbook doesn’t work at all! Money out the window, for what I believed was a one time payment.
Smart groups totals gone
After last update the smart group totals doesn't show anymore. Please fix ASAP.
