Suggestion

Hey not sure if it is the same with other languages on the app, but for Portuguese it would be helpful to have the literal translation of the sentences in the first half of the question rather than in the answer component. I find it helps learn how the grammar and sentence structure is different in Portuguese compared to English

Community courses gone

The community courses are what made the app worth anything in the first place. They are no longer available on the app, so the app is no longer available on my iPhone.

The app is a great learning tool but the constant requests to upgrade to Pro offers are beyond annoying.

Changes make it pointless

I used this for community courses set up to build vocab with proniuciation prompts. Now those courses are no longer available. Cancelling my subscription immediately.

Very useful

I’ve been using Memrise for a long time on and off. I’ve always found this app very useful with full of practical expressions and real-life examples. I love this app! I want to learn more French via this app.

Won’t be renewing my subscription

I used this app a lot back in 2020-22 to begin learning Chinese and absolutely loved it. Really great and intuitive system and the videos from native speakers were fantastic. However, I came back today in 2024 to maybe start subscribing again but it has since doubled in price and gone through an unnecessary “iNnOvAtIvE” overhaul which among endless pointless changes has completely removed the offline mode, making it virtually useless for my circumstances. Every single one of these once great apps are just becoming ever more expensive tech-bubble subscription scams. Why would I buy a “lifetime subscription” to a product that is getting worse?

Daily Progress Counter is a nuisance

The “Daily Streak” is just a nuisance. Often the app crashes and my progress is not recorded, the next day it is back to zero. It does not count minutes or number of sessions, if you travel and miss today by even a minute (even if you started the exercise before midnight) it is back to zero. And there is no way of avoiding this stupid counter as you must press ok or you cannot continue. Please allow me to turn this useless counter off. Maybe count number minutes or number questions answered per week or month. Either way please give the user the option to turn it off🙏

Community courses inaccessible

I paid a lot of money for a lifetime pro-account and now I can access any of the community courses from the App. Why? The community courses are the whole reason I am here. I might as well just delete the app then. I haven’t managed to access any of the community courses from the website because it doesn’t load. Terrible!
