It is engaging and easy to learn. Thank you!
I love this app and have found its simple and effective content to be perfect for learning languages, without all the frustrating time wasting of similar but more gamified language learning apps. The only issue I have is the search function - it essentially does not work, and can only search the headings of scenarios, which are not many and already available for view. This means if I want to learn about a specific topic (ie ‘adverbs of time’, or anything to do with ‘time’) I need to scroll endlessly through various topics and hope to come across what I need. I hope this will be improved in the future.
This is a once-size-fits all language app that doesn't work well with Japanese. Learning the hiragana alphabet was good but then it rapidly escalates into conplex words and sentences and a very disjointed set of topics. The interface is very confusing and cumbersome. The biggest deficiency however is you can't reset your progress! This has now made the app effectively useless as the app believes once you have 'learned' a word you will never forget it. This is a known problem according to their help site dated march 2024. Its now Nov 2024 - they clearly aren't interested in fixing this fatal flaw.
Feel slightly ripped off I want to learn Irish. It’s no longer a language in offer. Where’s my refund now that you changed the playing field???
No more community courses and I can no longer find traditional Chinese courses. I will no longer subscribe to Memrise.
I luv this app. It’s addictive learning for me
Hey not sure if it is the same with other languages on the app, but for Portuguese it would be helpful to have the literal translation of the sentences in the first half of the question rather than in the answer component. I find it helps learn how the grammar and sentence structure is different in Portuguese compared to English
The community courses are what made the app worth anything in the first place. They are no longer available on the app, so the app is no longer available on my iPhone.
The app is a great learning tool but the constant requests to upgrade to Pro offers are beyond annoying.
I used this for community courses set up to build vocab with proniuciation prompts. Now those courses are no longer available. Cancelling my subscription immediately.
