Serie Nanoleaf Smarter

Adhesive wouldn’t stick to anything so I had to super glue, app or device won’t connect to WiFi, can’t even find my other four WiFi connections, no response from customer service a week later. Everything I hate in a product. All that could be worse is if it kicked my dog on the way into the trash.

I’ve had the app for some time and I still cannot figure out how to delete scenes. The panels integrate well with my smart home. They are responsive and never lose connectivity.

Installs random automations, additional homes, can't find nanoleaf devices most of the time, focused on creating flashing colored lighting instead of features adults would use like automatic firmware updates, notifications only used for irritating marketing garbage

We spent 100 on these things and we have been spent 3 hrs trying to get them to connect to our phone and everything. Awful. Doesn’t even have a customer service number to call for help.

this is ridiculous, still no portrait moden for iPad. the lights/devices are actually good products but this app really isn't friendly. from the lack of portrait support for iPads to the app falsely reporting the devices are connected via bluetooth (they aren't, they're connected via thread). I don't use this app for anything other than updating firmware. There's absolutely nothing special this app can do that home and eve apps cant do, so, i'm deleting this failure of an app. I really just hate this app. It feels half-baked. I generally do not rate apps 1 star, usually 2 for effort but i don't see geniune effort put into making this app friendly for users. Nanoleaf needs to do better.

XMas lights are 2.4 GHz only. Big pain in the neck, be ready to waste a lot of time with set-up and troubleshooting for the Xmas string lights. I had to download this app to use the “Essentials Matter Smart Holiday String Lights”, which I bought because the Essential bulbs with Thread worked great directly through Apple’s Home. Nanoleaf app does not work well with Xmas lights, hard to find patterns that work, and can only download a few patterns to the lights. Very difficult to delete unwanted patterns to add more. I plugged these “smart” lights into Eve outlets to get them to turn off at night! The Christmas Lights promised to use Matter to connect to the HomePod Mini, but that never worked so they cannot be scheduled or operated with Siri. These devices do not have Thread radios and only occasionally connect to 2.4 GHz wifi. They often disconnect, error messages are not helpful, and support is only by very infrequent emails and insultingly unhelpful. My husband had to separately connect his phone to the strings even though his Nanoleaf app could see all the same Apple Home lights. Also the app is not suited for the Christmas lights, most scenes are not made for them nor can one search for scenes that are. SO MANY HOURS WASTED. The app is the same as last Christmas, still very primitive and not suited for the holiday lights. I was hopeful that the firmware update would help, but no. Thank God the lights have a useful button on the power brick. Do not buy this hardware, everything seems outsourced to the cheapest contractors and they will not help you. On the plus side I guess all of the strings still technically work in the second year of use.

The app won't even open

The Nanoleaf app is literally light years behind govee as far as usability and customization. It’s awkward and hard to navigate. Very little customization for their permanent outdoor lights. How do you set a schedule? How do you play music with the lights? Etc. etc.! Do better Nanoleaf!

Figuring out how to get the remote to work using my phone was a hassle. Nevertheless the product quality is amazing

Im not sure what has happened to nanoleaf but this app which used to be almost perfect a few years ago is now really buggy. I have the 4D light system on my tv and i have to constantly change the settings in the app on my custom tab. Almost to point of me turning the screen mirroring off. There needs to be a way the settings save. On top of that i notice that if i use Home widgets and go in the app the app doesnt even sync properly to what im currently running. Please work this out.
