It’s not even close. You can hand-write anything you see, write English or Chinese, it knows hundreds of thousands of words, it’s almost always correct (I’ve found one mistake in 6 years!), includes slang, figures of speech. It can read a page from a book making it effortless to look up characters in a text you haven’t learned yet. It has speakers. Example sentences for every word. If you have any intention of learning Chinese at all, get it. Now.
This has so many dictionaries to choose from and the best interface put there. Thanks!

Pleco is a must-have and offers so many different features in addition to dictionary entries.

I Like it but it would be Nice with more free stuff. Line stroke oder. Beside some stuff costs money it’s good but they could reduce the prices a bit.
This application has no competition. If you are serious in studying Chinese, it would be stupid not to get it. The idea of the app is that it gives access to a number of dictionaries. Some of these dictionaries are free of charge. However, you will probably want to add one or more paid dictionaries. There is a large number of these, helpful for every level of Chinese. In addition to the dictionaries, there is a good flash card system (which costs some money) and a optical character recogniser system (which also costs money) and a few other helpful add ons. Anyhow, you should definitely try out the free version, which is already quite useful. After trying it out, it is quite likely that later you will want to buy some additional dictionaries and add ons. I did.
I love Pleco ! It's necessary to have this app when you're studying Chinese. How ever I think it is really stupid that those who have iPhone don't get everything included as those who has fx. Samsung and has to buy the expensive 'adds on'...
I've been using this app for over 6 years and still using it. No matter what your level is this app is worth downloading. Don't waste time looking for others, this is what you will need.
Pleco is simply 太棒了. It's got everything you need for a Chinese dictionary - easy input, nice example sentences and great handwriting input plus stroke order diagrams (you need to add the last two yourself though). However, the best thing is the flashcard system - it has really helped me practice words and characters in my everyday life and is great on the go. I can highly recommend Pleco to everyone who's learning Chinese.
