Pocket Casts: Podcast Player

Consider the following features for premium users: 1. Adblock. At least find a way to remove DAI. Perhaps download the episode to your server via a vpn before serving it to client side 2. AI Transcripts synced. Almost no podcast give transcript file. Please generate it with AI and have it sync as the podcaster speaks 3. Multiple up nexts lists (or playlists).

Just a lot of bugs. The best of a bunch of crappy pod catchers. It keeps resubscribing to pods I have u subscribed, no way to stop it from playing already played episodes, often just stops when it goes to Bluetooth. I switched from Overcast and I guess it’s fine not having to download and for organizing but I’m not enamoured.

it’s pretty good. the only thing i really want it to do that it doesn’t right now (as far as i can tell) is let me toggle autoplay per pod. most that i listen to i prefer with autoplay because i can just turn it on and binge until the time i wanted to fill has been filled. but there specific shows that i only watch one episode at a time and due to their nature, i won’t be awake when it ends to turn it off if i forgot to set the sleep timer.

I have tried many podcast apps over the years, and I keep coming back to Pocket Casts. It's simple to use, and it's powerful as heck. My only wish is that when I clicked resume it would always resume without needing to get the app launched again. But I suspect that's an iOS issue.

Updates have slowly rotted away the ease and quick usability. Everything is harder now, deleting, downloading. Lost in menus everywhere. Bought the premium app and they ripped that rug out from out of everyone and put in a USD 50$ a year in app purchase for anything basic down to DARK MODE F off.

Seems like they are now playing ads separate from whatever podcast you’re listening to. Ads from the podcasters is one thing but a Disney ad interrupting mid podcast is the deal breaker for me.

Still my one and only podcast app but the clip share that came with v7.72 just sucks. Let me disable it. It adds an extra step to sharing podcasts with friends and is just annoying

Have tried may other app and still prefer pocket casts.

I used to love this app but recently programs are interrupted and intercut with blaring, annoying online gambling ads, etc.
