I’ve loved this app for years but in the last 12 months, podcasts randomly skip forward or pack 30 seconds. Aside from the things I love, playing a podcast without interruption is the only thing I need it to do.
Easy to use, sleek, great design and functionality
Absolutely appreciate the need to monetise. But if I hear another “go daddy” advert in the pre, post and during roll of every podcast , I’ll have to switch apps. Shame, because it’s a great app.
The initial screen with the list of podcasts just got weird in this last update. Thumbnails are smaller and the sky blue color on the numbers doesn't seem to match the look and feel of the rest of the app. That's the sort of change that you'dA/B test... ie.: create an option for uses to come back to what we had before, track what users choose and only then you remove the least favourite.
Not often I write reviews, and I’m often a bit picky about apps … but this works so well it deserves the praise … I’ve used four different podcast apps, now across two different iPads and an iPhone 11. It’s got more flexibility - than even one I previously bought. Even a naff like me was able to import my playlist easily Depending on what speed the podcast presenter talks at, how involved it is etc I like to adjust the speed up or down. This is the first speed adjustment I’ve come across where you can do that in increments of 10% Just then I was listening to meditation podcast. Had a bit of spare time so slowed it down to 70% and the meditation never worked better I love it!
Perfect podcast app. Keeps track across devices where I am up to in an episode, and what episodes I have listened too on any device. Configurable to get notifications for only some pos cast new episodes. No fee for all these features!
When I use the shortcut to import, it says OPML Import Failed and refuses to import. So cannot use this (and I have subscriptions in Apple Podcasts so I do t wish to manually add). Is there any solution for this? Am using an iPhone 14 Pro Max running iOS 17.4.
Would have rated higher but when they raised the subscription price so heavily, I left. I now use Apple podcast free app and it does pretty much the same job.
Apparently my old 1-star review from before it went free was deleted so quickly. It functions mostly fine, but, there are a bunch of bugs that are infuriating. It also takes forever to add new episodes when they release on subscribed podcasts. To name a few bugs, it constantly tells me the wrong progress through an episode, I might be 20 minutes into a podcast but it tells me I’m over an hour in. Sometimes when I skip back 10 seconds to rewind, I am instead skipped forwards multiple minutes and have to scroll back. It constantly removes episodes from my up next queue so I have to re-ad them.
I've been using this app for 5+ years now and it is hands down the BEST podcast app ever. The developer has the best app update notes and the app is updated regularly with cooler and cooler features that I didn't even know I needed!
