It’ Dl anyway
Even your setting says “download only on Wifi”, if you put the episode qued as “next”, then it’s shows you “wait for wifi”, once the current episode on play completed, it starts downloading even you’re not under the wifi!!
Any fix for this issue?

I’m sorry but “honoring” a movement that is destroying tradition and norms is not gonna get my support. You guys have fallen to a new low. It all started with your move to subscription model but now I know you have lost your minds…
The best
Far and away the best podcast app, and the new icon is great. You should never change it back.

The best podcast app I’ve used
I was using Apple podcasts until recently and just started to despise it more and more each time it was updated. Episodes were hard to organise and view, the app was slow and clunky and it just seemed to chew through battery power faster than a nuclear powered toaster.
Pocket casts is clean and easy to navigate. I can see all episodes in order and know which ones I’ve listened too in the past easily. Downloads and subscriptions are very easy to control and it doesn’t hog space. Finally the battery drain is minimal and the app is smooth and responsive on the iPhone. I’ll never go back to Apple.
Was impressed at first...
...but am lately troubled by frequent audio dropout when playing podcast episodes while downloading over WiFi. The sound dropout always occurs after I’ve already listened to a couple of episodes, and relaunching the app seems like the best way to fix it; so it feels like there’s a bit of an issue in cache handling or memory management.
I’m hoping this can be fixed. I like the UI and don’t want to have to look for a replacement.
Good but...
I like the interface, and it’s great for adding podcasts to the queue. Unfortunately, the occasional podcast won’t play in it. It shows as playing, but no audio comes out. No troubleshooting seems to help.
So it’s a great but flawed player
New UI is sluggish
If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. The new UI feels clunky. Especially the icon to see my playlist, it brings me first to the now-playing screen then auto-scrolls down to reveal the playlist. Is this even necessary? The homepage becomes a messy cluster of all the podcast covers, without negative space, the whole screen looks disengaging. I hope this is just an A/B testing. Fancy and modern UI don’t always bring a better user experience.
