Description

Looking to get stronger quickly and easily? Look no further than Progression – the workout app that's optimized for weight-based exercises and designed for speed and simplicity.
With Progression, you can log your workout performance with just one tap – saving you time and minimizing distractions. Plus, the app automatically increases the weight and decreases the repetition count for each exercise set after you've reached your maximum repetitions, helping you push yourself and make steady progress over time.
What's more, Progression can sync your workout data with the Apple Health app, so you can easily track your progress and stay on top of your fitness goals.
But don't just take our word for it – users around the world have already given Progression high marks for its ease of use and effectiveness. Here's what some of them have to say:
"With this app, I've been able to increase my weights remarkably faster."
"Using this app during my workout is easy and quick – just what I need from a workout app!"
Here are some of the core features of Progression that make it a must-have for weight-based workouts:
One-tap performance tracking: Quickly log your weight and reps for each exercise set with just one tap.
Automatic weight increases: Progression will automatically increase the weight and decrease the reps for each exercise set after you've reached your maximum repetitions, helping you break through plateaus and make steady progress.
Apple Health sync: Your workout data can be automatically synced with the Apple Health app for easy tracking and analysis.
To get the most out of Progression, here are a few tips:
Use 3D Touch: Start and stop the timer quickly by using 3D Touch on the timer button in the upper left corner. You can also use 3D Touch on the Progression app icon on your homescreen to start a workout quickly.
Tap to mark sets as done: During your workout, simply tap on the set number to mark it as done.
Avoid the keypad: To minimize distractions during your workout, use the stepper buttons to log your weight and reps instead of the keypad.
Finally, keep in mind that to get the most benefit from Progression, you'll want to set your preferred range of repetitions and weight increment in the app's settings. And for safety reasons, we recommend not raising the increment higher than 2.5 kg / 5 lbs.

Progression Reviews

Cannot recommend it enough

I wish I had the money to pay for the premium subscription because it’s 100% worth supporting the app. I’d be completely happy to watch an ad every time I start a workout session because it’s everything you need in a progression app!

Great app but pricing is ridiculous

£30 a year for a simple CRUD app? This is ridiculous. No way in hell is this app worth this much. The effort required for this is tiny. This is worth £5, maybe £10 max as a one off. Change the pricing to something reasonable and you might actually get some traction on this. Till then, I’m looking elsewhere.

Great for progressing

Once you get use to it, it’s such an amazing tool for progression and building muscle, my squat has gone up so much because of me tracking progress through this app

THE BEST gym app you can get

This app makes it incredibly easy to just focus on lifting weights and progressive overload. It’s really easy to use, and works perfectly every time. I’d love to see a charting feature to show how my lifts have increased over time.

Amazing

Hands down the best workout i’ve ever used. Simple, straight forward UI but at the same time it helps me in my workout so much. Is there a future for an apple watch app?

Disappointed

Buggy, poor grammar didn't bode well...

Great for pros and beginners alike!

I’m getting back into strength/weights training for the first time in nearly a decade and this app is a phenomenal tool. I was able find a program online and enter it into this app (one workout for each day of the 12-week program I found). Not only have I been able to adjust my workouts depending on what my gym has available, but it keeps me motivated knowing I’ll be able to compare progress with my beginning reps/weight versus where I’ll be in a few months. The paid version is totally worth it for being able to enter a whole week’s-worth of workouts.

Won’t allow access even when subscribed

You can only access 2 of your workouts. After that, it asks you to subscribe to access more. I’m already subscribed. What a rip
