Says Randolph Brooks FCU is a partner bank but constantly loses connection. I go for weeks at a time without updates. When resetting connection constantly returns re-authenticate. Why does Monarch not have this issue at all? If they add cash flow forecasting I am out of this dysfunctional app in a heartbeat. Update this still does not work. I have to authenticate every single time. My guess is they do not have a solid way to handle MFA. It needs some way to remember device. Again, like Monarch does.

I bought this because it was supposed to be similar to mint. But the UI is terrible, creating rules never seems to work, and there were TONS of duplicate transactions and dates that didn’t align with payment dates. It doesn’t understand that Apple Pay and a credit card charge is the same transaction. Spending plans and rules created don’t apply across transactions effectively. Not worth the money. Consistent issues with linking accounts.

I cant connect to Chase to set up my account. How am I supposed to trust this app with my financial info when the literal first step in setup doesn’t work? Plus their support team is closed on weekends so it’s annoying to get a refund. Disgraceful

I like the service but they need to make an ipad version.

Will not pay for an app, especially one that only allows you to pay for a year up front rather than a monthly subscription, that will not even let me trial it for any period of time.

Bought a year subscription, because this app is supposed to be awesome. Right off the bat, only my checking accounts will link. All of my credit and auto accounts just give unspecified errors. I decided to skip those and push forward to set up the app, and now I’ve been stuck on “Working our magic!” for about an hour. A few API calls and an algorithm that analyzes transactions shouldn’t take more than a few seconds in a worst case scenario. Also received an automated email from the team lead with first steps, but it is formatted with white text on a white background, so I had to copy and paste it into the notes app to even read it. At this point, if it ever finishes “working magic”, I fully expect nothing to function. Take my advice, never buy promoted software that doesn’t have a free trial. Update: Finally got into the app, and it can’t even figure out that transactions with the exact same name and amount are recurring, so it keeps asking to add identical recurring transactions while saying I’m missing payments on the exact transaction. Absolutely DO NOT purchase this software. It does not work, and is absolutely a scam. At MOST, all this software is capable of doing is showing you your transactions. Everything else is 100% incorrect. Odds are high that your banking app can already show you transactions, making this app functionally pointless and useless. Account linking is broken for 99% of the things I’ve tried, so it isn’t even great at aggregating transactions across accounts. As a software engineer myself, I find it absolutely disgusting that a company would try to sell this and rip off millions of people looking for a solution to managing their finances. This company should be sued for fraud.

Not supporting sync with Interactive Brokers

Very buggy. Easier and quicker to keep a spreadsheet. I tried this after many years of Mint. Different product, poor graphics, bad display, unstable connections. I am no longer willing to trust this company with mu financial passwords. .

Really surprised at how unfriendly the user interface is for a product that’s been around for so long. Have to open the app for information to refresh and update or for push notifications to trigger on the phone or email. Sometimes you’ll click notifications and it will take you to a page without identifying the charge that needs attention. Very clunky overall and really a waste of money for what you get particularly since it’s targeted towards people who are trying to cut costs!

I would have been happy to pay for Mint, which was a great way to track all accounts and investments. Simplifi is very basic, minimal, and unhelpful unless you need to be told you just made a purchase. I hate it. I’m moving on. Try Copilot (still not as great as Mint).
