Description

The Debt Payoff Planner app is the simplest way to stop feeling overwhelmed and start having a specific, step-by-step plan for paying off your loans.

Today is the day to make a plan with a loan calculator and beginning paying down debt. Required inputs for calculating your debt free date are the current balance of the loan, the annual percentage rate (APR), and the minimum payment amount. That's the only requirement to getting a customized debt repayment schedule.

Easy steps to becoming debt free:

- Enter your loans and debts
- Enter your additional monthly payment budget to pay down faster
- Choose a debt payoff strategy
* Dave Ramsey's Debt Snowball (lowest balance first)
* Debt Avalanche (highest rate first)
* Debt Snowflake (one-time extra payment toward loans)
* Custom debt free payoff plan

Debt Payoff Planner and Loan Calculator determines the optimum payment plan and how long it will take until you will be debt free. You tell the app how much you want to budget toward paying off your debt and we'll tell you how. We recommend the Debt Snowball strategy because we believe that paying off individual accounts faster will help you stay focused on your financial goal of debt elimination. A payoff plan is only useful if you stick with it!

Your ability and willingness to pay more than the minimum payments is how you will become debt free in less time than you imagined. Budgeting your income will help you to get a regular monthly amount to pay down the debt faster. The payoff chart will show two payoff scenarios: only paying the minimum amounts, and the repayment schedule when you pay more the the minimum ever month.

Creating an account enables you to have a secure backup and your information is immediately available if you start using a new device. Getting out of debt is hard, so we try to allow you to take baby steps toward this goal.

We believe that becoming debt free requires an easy starting point and making sure every dollar is leveraged perfectly. The loan calculator has minimal inputs in order to make your money management easy to follow.

The Debt Payoff Planner and Calculator is also used for tracking payments and updating the time-frame for becoming debt-free. Inputting payment information is as simple as typing in the amount and the date the payment was made. The goal of payment tracking is to see your progress over time and affirm that you are staying focused on your financial goals.

In addition to being a debt tracker and loan calculator, we are also trying to help point out some possible next steps with articles focused on how to pay off student loans, auto loans, and credit cards faster. Also, there is some tips on credit card balance transfers as well as strategies for debt consolidation.

We support eight loan categories:
* Credit Cards like Capital One, Citicard, Chase, etc.
* Student Loans like Navient, Sallie Mae, Great Lakes, etc.
* Auto/Car Loans
* Medical Loans
* Mortgages like Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, etc.
* Personal Loans to friends and family or other individuals
* Taxes like IRS or local municipalities
* Other category could be anything from a paycheck loan to a hard money loan

In addition to the Debt Snowball calculator and the Debt Avalanche method, many users like to do a custom sorting of their debts. This customization is available for users that want to be their own debt manager.

We allow the ability to provide a Debt Snowflake payoff as well. A Debt Snowflake is a one-time payment from things like a bonus at work, a tax refund, an extra payday, etc. This additional capability allows you to have tighter control over every dollar you are budgeting.

Glad I gave it another try!

I had this app a couple years ago and did not like it but they made so many awesome improvements. It has every feature I was looking for (except account linking but that’s fine). Love all the graphs and visuals. I wish there was a lifetime membership option for the app because I’m not sure what we are paying for monthly if there’s no linking.

Amazing app that’s helping my debt!

This app gives me clear instructions on a plan that’s working for me to get me out of debt and I’m grateful ! I highly recommend using it and actively tracking your payments and debt !

It’s so difficult to make changes to payments. It used to be so much easier to use, prior to purchasing the upgrade. I can’t delete payments that I didn’t make that it shows I made, can only check that I did make that payment. If I could revert back to the free version, I certainly would. That version was easy to use (but only allowed 4 accounts), and I’d give that version 5 stars. I’m trying to decrease my debt, I’ve wasted money purchasing the upgrade of this app 😂

I’ve used this app several times to pay off debt and get my finances in order. This app is perfect when it comes to organizing what you owe!

I love the plan it set up for me!

I have tried to set up this kind of pay off plan several times through excel, and multiple different apps. I am not good with #s and would easily get confused. Thank you for making this so clear and easy. This is a plan I can stick to. Even if #s change, I just make an edit to that one debt account and continue working the plan. I don't quite understand all the option on the funding tab yet. However, all I needed was to see the #s written out. This app allows you to export the plan, in case I want to see the full detail instead of just a few months at a time. I am love this so far. Edit: one downfall is the app crashes for me very frequently whenever I add/edit/update info on the debt tab. It only clears if I close out of the app completely. Then I have to go back in and check to make sure it correctly saved the info I added.

The app now all of a sudden won’t open. It’s been a week ish since I’ve been able to. When I open it it’s just a white screen

Great debt tool

Love the way this app shows you different repayment methods and you can choice which one is best for you.

Lots of options, a few bugs

Shelbyd505 on

So I really love the layout and how simple this is. I like that it doesn’t ask for my logins and lets me input everything manually without asking me to route my payments and bank accounts through the app. I went ahead and upgraded to premium so that I could put all my debts of every kind in one place. I’m glad I did. That being said, there are a few things that are annoying and could be better. First, the debt snowball/debt avalanche option. Why can’t there be an easy option for debt snowball for a few months and then a switch to debt avalanche? I have tried to orchestrate this myself but the “customize” and drag and drop features were almost unusable and kept making the entire app freeze. I was only able to drag and drop one entry after 5+ attempts. Secondly, the ability to exclude one or more debts from the debt snowball or avalanche would be great. I want to get a full picture of my debt and payments each month without necessarily paying off a zero interest loan earlier, or being able to account for a card I will continue to use for month to month purchases while paying down the recurring monthly spending in total and reducing the rest of the overall debt on that card to zero. Third, the option of “adding funding” in the app doesn’t make any sense and isn’t explained anywhere. It’s frustrating and doesn’t account for any users who don’t get paid in one lump sum once or twice a month. Overall it’s a great app and I’ll continue to use it, but some things could make it easier to use and take it from great to excellent.
