Description

RealVNC® Viewer from RealVNC® gives you instant remote access to your Mac, Windows and Linux computers from anywhere in the world. You can view your computer's desktop, and control its mouse and keyboard as though you were sitting down in front of it.
Download RealVNC Connect to each computer you want to control. Then sign in to RealVNC Viewer on your device using your RealVNC account credentials. You'll see your computers automatically appear; simply tap to connect.
RealVNC Connect password-protects each computer out-of-the-box. You may need to enter the same user name and password you use to log in to your computer. All sessions are then encrypted end-to-end.
During a session, your device's touch screen serves as a trackpad to give you precise control. Drag your finger to move the remote mouse cursor and tap anywhere to left-click (other gestures such as right-click and scroll are explained in-app).
As the original inventors of VNC remote access technology, we're confident you'll love what RealVNC Viewer has to offer. If you're still not convinced, check out our reviews!

RealVNC Viewer Reviews

VNC Dead : CORPORATE GREED

angrybird11111111 on

They’ve pushed everyone onto a paid subscription. Used to be great. I used it to connect to my home server and a friend’s PC for remote help. But it’s not worth the subscription for something I MIGHT use for 2 or 3 devices once every couple of months. Time to find an alternative. Poor play.

Unreliable

Used maybe once , might connect one in one hundred times, antiquated

Newest update slow down scrolling speed

heythere502 on

Australia

I have been using vnc viewer for 10 years and very happy. However, the newest update slowed down scrolling speed with mouse interaction. I run a massive 6500x2100 pixels setup. What used to be 1 scroll control now requires 3 inputs. Can you kindly add scrolling speed options to the viewer please? Many thanks

Lifesaver but external trackpad support is almost unusable

Leopold. on

Australia

Given that people using VNC are power users who likely have attached a trackpad case to their iPad this seems like quite an oversight, but otherwise it’s a great product. Would give 5 stars if I could use my trackpad as I would expect (but I still need to bring my laptop with me until then)

Can’t give a lower rating

Lacks basic functionality

Can’t be a proper Remote Desktop without mouse support

darmellin on

Australia

I want to use this app to access my computer from anywhere and use it like a computer, I have a mouse and keyboard connected to my iPad, but this app doesn’t support real mice, it only supports a touch mouse interface, which is a shame, as connection and ease of use are great, It just needs to accept a mouse input (which the iPad is natively supporting anyway) then the dream of using an iPad connected to a workhorse computer from anywhere is obtainable

Since iOS15 external keyboards don’t work.

Sheepie_AU on

Australia

Since iOS15 came out, external keyboards don’t work properly. Using an iPad Air 2 and Apple’s folio keyboard, I need to enable the on-screen keyboard before any input is accepted from the folio keyboard. I also can no longer command-c command-v to copy and paste, nor select multiple items by selecting one, holding down shift (or command) and selecting others. This same thing happened when iOS14 came out.

VNC not connecting via Mobile

Dougie the pizza boy on

Australia

Hey Since you have done a recent update I cannot connect to VNC devices using mobile data, If I am connected to a local Wifi connection it works perfectly, however soon as on mobile data - no joy and yes I have mobile data turned on in app settings.

Too expensive and missing true mouse support

TheToid on

Australia

Works well but is way too expensive. I mean the vnc viewer for PC is free so why is this so expensive? Only buy it if it's a must have like it was for me. This also needs updating, it is screaming for a Mouse input mode which allows you to use the middle and right mouse buttons on a mouse connected to the iPad (this is now possible with IOS 14 and above AFAIK). Currently the Mouse mode is a relative cursor mode, and the Touchpad mode doesnt support right or middle mouse buttons or the scroll wheel.

Doesn't support trackpad / mouse well

DrJosh9000 on

Australia

I have an iPad keyboard with a trackpad, and sometimes I use a USB mouse too. Microsoft's iPad RDP client can make it work like a regular pointing device, but VNC can't for some reason.
