RealVNC® Viewer from RealVNC® gives you instant remote access to your Mac, Windows and Linux computers from anywhere in the world. You can view your computer's desktop, and control its mouse and keyboard as though you were sitting down in front of it.

Download RealVNC Connect to each computer you want to control. Then sign in to RealVNC Viewer on your device using your RealVNC account credentials. You'll see your computers automatically appear; simply tap to connect.

RealVNC Connect password-protects each computer out-of-the-box. You may need to enter the same user name and password you use to log in to your computer. All sessions are then encrypted end-to-end.

During a session, your device's touch screen serves as a trackpad to give you precise control. Drag your finger to move the remote mouse cursor and tap anywhere to left-click (other gestures such as right-click and scroll are explained in-app).

No audio support

Great app but no support for sound is a real nuisance. I am having to use Splashtop when I need audio but Splashtop is much less stable and keeps randomly closing. RealVNC need to add audio support to the mobile apps ASAP. The desktop apps supports audio so why can't the mobile apps? It's time you added audio support for phones and tablets.

Not for home use anymore.

Was a good app, now as Home licence goes, app goes. At least for me. Was nice to use. Many other free alternatives :)

And now they want money

“ The easiest way to avoid any disruption and to keep your existing users and devices is to upgrade to a paid subscription.” They tried this during the pandemic and got significant pushback. Well they are trying to again. “ After 17th June 2024, connections on Home subscriptions will be prohibited” Uninstalling after this date. Goodbye.

Great app for connecting to my Mac

VC is a great app does what it says very stable easy to use secure and steady connection

Don’t update if you rely on this app

Like the previous reviewer, I’ve found the latest update breaks previously working connections with the message “Either the VNC Server is not running or is using an incompatible protocol version”. Neither of which are true, as it worked just fine before and when I connect from my macbook!

Won’t connect to MacBook Pro M3 Pro 16”

Using an iPhone 15 pro max and want to control MacBook Pro M3 Pro 16” but get the message “either VNC server is not running or it is using an incompatible protocol version”.

Poor screen control

In iPhone cannot select individual screen, it shows all screen then we have to zoom out to select a particular screen which is very annoy in desktop app you can select screen but in iPhone app there is no option to select the screen

Commercial use only

This used to work nicely for limited non-commercial home use but at some point (2023?) became a “pay only” app.

ace software!

this software gets better and better! 😁 there are a few features i'd really like added: 1. activity logging - who was connected to what and for how long; if that connected user restarted/shutdown attached device and time/date 2. a way to copy paste to older macs running pre macOS 10+ (i can copy from my linux computer to pc and vice versa but not from those devices to my older mac!) 3. keep improving! enough said!! 😂 great app, super useful... better than teamviewer!!!
