Star Trek Fleet Command Reviews
Stay away
Game went from pay to win, to pay to progress, every new arc is geared for whales to spend. Every new grind only becomes possible if you buy the newer ships or crews. The stories/missions have declined badly recently. And the community in general has become belligerent. Do yourself a favor and try another game. Edit. They replied to this with the usual copy and paste generic response. They don’t actually do anything about abuse in game. At least 40 reports sent in by me against one player, who is still in game, and many more sent in by others . Scopely don’t care.
Wholesome fun
If you like Star Trek, you’ll love this. Pretty easy to jump straight in. Has a decent amount of depth. Only at it a few days but so far, so good
Great Game
I’ve been playing for a while now and only once stopped playing the game there’s a couple boring sections of the game but overall it is a great game
Things to know before you install
1 - This game is enjoyable in the early stages, but before long you will be subject to all the tricks in the book to get you and keep you spending. Excessively long times for completing upgrades and research, long cool-downs on items, and required materials either not available without a purchase, or doled out in tiny amounts to make you want to purchase to speed things up.
2 - Even if you do buy packs (and why not, it’s your money), it is never enough. All it does is get you to the next paywall faster. Additionally a feature you pay for one month, can be completely obsoleted by a subsequent feature released a month or 2 later.
3 - Over time the game has become bloated with far too many currencies, resources and gameplay loops to the point where it is impossible to keep up, again unless you spend regularly to speed your progress. This new “content” is delivered monthly.
4 - The game suffers from frequent severe lag and is riddled with bugs, many of which are years old and will simply never be addressed, since fixing things doesn’t bring in new revenue.
In short, having played this game for quite a long time, take it from me, avoid this game and any others by this developer at all costs. They do not develop games, they develop cynical psychological mechanisms to get you and keep you spending more and more.
Star Trek Bug Command
Sick to death of the endless bugs and issues in this game. Company only priorities new paid content at horrifically high prices
They added a new feature to quickly save/apply officer presets for ships. Was added maybe a year ago? Launched on day 1 with a bug that if you have a certain number of them, when you edit any of them, randomly one gets deleted. This has been in game for MONTHS. Report to customer service …. “This is being actively worked on, we can’t give a timeline”
New research that costs €1200.00 ? You’ll have it tomorrow. A new ship nobody wanted that adds another 50 hours per week of grinding, you’ll have it next week. The existing game being anything that resembles playable? Nah we’ll think about it and get back to you
Never seen such an awfully managed game in my life
Game review
Been playing for awhile whilst I don’t intend to spend money I enjoy it. Mining is annoying upgrades take forever, but I enjoy three game not run in to any issues yet. Please do something about upgrading wanna keep at the game
Bastards
Constantly, I mean constantly crashes and Zero sign of it being fixed. I’m done. You’re getting no more money from me. And this game is god damn expensive. I think I’m done with the whole mobile gaming scene in general.
Broken
Company seems to actively refuse to fix bugs. Hundreds of bugs have existed since day one and they never get fixed, only new in-app-purchases get added to the game, because its just a money making scam!
Fix the officer presets getting auto-deleted, fix the enemy ships getting stuck, fix the endless UI glitches, fix the constant lag / getting stuck on loading screens
It’s out of this world
You’ll love when you play it and if you’re a Trekkie then it’s a home run.
Tutorial issue
I’ve broken the game, my ship destroyed on one of the starter missions. Now when I load up the app, my ship in Dock A shows at the bottom of the screen as ‘Destroyed’, and the game only allows me to touch on the screen where the yellow instruction arrows are pointing.
