FOR BEGINNERS
- Select 2 folders to synchronize.
- Select the synchronization mode, or use the default mode. You do not need to worry about other settings, they are set to the recommended.
- Look at the preview table.
- Click the "Sync current task" button and your folders will be synchronized!

3+ years of use - all good!

I bought this when I moved to Mac from Windows three or so years ago. I was used to using the brilliant SyncBack SE but found it wasn’t available for MacOS. This is the nearest I’ve found to that Windows excellent synchronisation tool. It’s stable and updated when need be and straightforward to use.

Don’t believe the screen shots

This will only sync folders you can see on a Mac or iPad it is not able to sync your photos from iCloud to a hard drive which means I wasted my money as doesn’t do what I was looking to do I guess that’s a risk when you have to buy the app to test it. I did start with the free version but it kept saying the functions I want are on the pro then upgraded to the pro and guess what still not there. Good if you want to sync local folders to a NAS or drive but that’s about all wish I could get my money back as will not be using it.

Amazing tool to stay up-to-date and coveted!!!

This is a very good app that is truly keeping me safe and covered when it comes to my key files and information!!! I surely recommend it and I cannot live without it now.

Photo backup to nas drive

I have been using sync folder pro for several years and using it to back up and sync both desktop and laptop to my nas drive not skipped a beat and more importantly not lost or corrupted any images

Powerful

I had a raw file that I couldn’t find in my main raw files folder. I had numerous back ups of this folder so I used this Syncing app to merge everything into a new folder and of course the missing raw file appeared. I was then able to update all my back ups of the ‘raw files’ folder to this new merged one. The options are most powerful, with lots of choices to meet all my user requirements.

Best synchronisation app I found

Easy to use and well laid out app.

I use the app to sync two external hard drives

This is an excellent app. It allows me easily sync my external drive with a back up. It syncs nearly 3 million files at each back up and does it easily. I would highly recommend this app to anyone who wants to sync files between devices.

Simply The Best & Affordable too!

It must be at least ten years or more* I’ve been using Sync Folders Pro. In the secular world, I led the world’s largest live-streaming compliance archive of 90pb+, processing 1 billion messages a week compliant with multiple financial services and SEC regulations, so I consider myself relatively knowledgeable about software and back-ups. In my domestic life and experience throughout those ten years, I’ve seen nothing that comes even close to the range of options, simplicity and stability of Sync Folders Pro. I am obsessed with backing up and using Sync Folders Pro to secure several Macs and PCs, plus innumerable multi-terabyte storage devices, to two NAS drives (originals to NAS No1, which is backed up to NAS No2). Over the years, it’s been fascinating to see the imperfections of various ‘cloud’ providers - who, I promise you - corrupt and lose files. However, most people would never notice and likely blame themselves! However, the ‘safety’ options provided in Sync Folders Pro ensure you can easily spot those missing files and retrieve multiple versions. It amazes me that the average user trusts terabytes and petabytes of data without a sync strategy. Anyway, I highly recommend Sync Folders Pro if you want a simple, multifaceted sync and backup solution with outstanding customer support (though I’ve only had to use that service twice).

Really easy to use app for managing back ups and folders and keeping my mac organised.

Misleading screenshots?

Screenshots and description give impression that the app Syncs external storage services (as Dropbox) which is not correct as it can’t access Dropbox or any other alternative online storage other than local files only.
