I live in Europe but speak English. I have used VRBO for many vacations over the last few years. I could alway see the info in English but now all is in the language of the country where I live. I cannot use your app anymore or your services because there is no way to change the language.

Well designed, a good assortment of different objects, easy checkout solution… what not to like?

Booking on their website didn’t work at all. It complained about billing country not being selected when it was. Called support and they said they would troubleshoot. They never mentioned I could try booking through their app instead. Well that’s what I did, but their were issues there as well… My regular debit card didn’t work and I’ve never had issues with that card when paying online. Fortunately one of my credit cards was accepted. Most complicated checkout in years!

Booked and paid via the app but the host can’t see it. Called support 3 times, still no solution. The host says she can’t accomodate me since there’s no booking or payment. Last time I use this service, support is a disaster!

During my trip in Lisbon, I was faced with a medical emergency and I had to extend my stay. I was able to locate this not so cheap supposedly luxury apartment. I booked it on October 28 to checkin on October 29. Once the money was paid and deducted, I tried to reach the host several time during the day to no avail. The next morning, I called the host repeatedly without any answer. I have spent almost 50 Euro just for calls to the support in VRBO. At times, the line would cut off only to start the process again. You are welcomed by first line support agent that just follow procedural work without paying attention to what you are saying. Next, I went to the property and we rang the door, to my relief the owner opened the door and let us in. I said we are here for a reservation. He looked at us in astonishment. What reservation? we showed him the confirmation with the address and everything. He said i don't rent my property and this is wrong. This is when i discover that I got scammed. Not only VRBO had no idea that they are hosting a fake property, the support kept on telling me that I have to wait till 4 PM which is checkin time and to call the host. I said what property? there is no property and the host doesn't exist his line is closed and it is all fake. She said sorry but that the process. I lost it. I take matter further and call the police. they came to the location, checked my reservation and confirm with the man in the apartment that this is not true. they take all the details from the reservation confirmation to the amount and all the details. I am with 3 family members and without any place. I am trying to find a place and deal with a refund request / with the most insensitive company i have ever worked with. Agents are completely inhumane and with out any empathy. They have to wait for the approval from the team to escalate calls. They give u unacceptable answers. As a customers, I am not supposed to understand the inner working of this company. I expect my problem to be solved. If i ask for a refund for failure to provide an advertised service for fraudulent reason then that\s the least i should get. This is a company owned by Expedia. It is Finally 4 o'clock i call VRBO and i said just give me my refund and stop this abuse of customer trust. they kept transferring me to different location and without any success so far. I am planning to escalate this further with my bank along all evidence of scam. Bottom line AVOID THIS C
