Registration process:
YONO is supported on iOS 11 and above.
Ø Install/Update new version of App from App Store and open.
Ø Allow all required permission (location).
Ø Select SIM of CBS Registered Mobile Number (RMN) and submit NEXT.
Ø An encrypted SMS with a unique code will be sent from the device to a pre-defined Number 7718965316 to verify the customer. Kindly note that for sending the SMS standard SMS charges are applicable as per your telecom plan. The SIM should have active outgoing SMS facility.
Ø If there are multiple CIFs attached with same mobile number, system will prompt for the account number and DOB for finding out a unique customer by the mobile number.
Ø If the customer is already having online banking facility of SBI, App will automatically prompt to proceed to Register on YONO with existing user credentials (Online Banking User ID and Password). After entering User ID and Password, customer will receive an OTP on Registered Mobile Number. User has to enter the OTP in the app to complete registration with an optional setting of MPIN.
Ø If the existing SBI customer is not having Online banking credentials, App will prompt to proceed to create INB credential using “Account Details” and “ATM Card” based registration process.
Ø If Non RMN SIM is selected, User will land on account opening screen. If customer claims that selected SIM is already registered with bank, user needs to visit nearest branch with KYC for updating/validating the mobile number in bank account.

Nice but big privacy issues
Update—maybe the developers saw my reviews, or took heed of feedback from numerous others. They’ve now quickly rectified the issue. I’m turning this into a 4 star rating.
The app works well, even if it has too many features and the interface can be made simpler. Most worryingly, the app doesn’t work on VPN. This is a strange move and there is no reason for it to be this way. Other banks have no issues and work normally. I will have to stop using the app if this issue continues.
Yono not consistent
This is the most inconsistent and unstable Banking app I come across . SBI IT team should take steps to make this a more consistent and stable app as it’s used my millions of customers.
After upgrade app is broken not opening got frozen..
I upgraded to latest version 1.23.97 in other iPhone and then the app is not all opening/ loading it’s frozen… I wouldn’t expect this type of service from the reputed bank. Please get it fixed at the earliest as this app is of no use…
Stuck at the splash screen
I am not able to go further than the splash screen since a week. Tried updating to newest version today but no change…
Worst updates
One of worst banking app in nationwide. The developers are working like college interns. Better you learn with Canara AI app
US numbers don’t work
The SBI lite application works on my US number but this app won’t even let me register.

SAFETY AND SECURITY FIRST!
I’m a longtime user of SBI YONO. I would like to think that when functional glitches happen in its functionality, safety features kick in automatically. This is good. Bearing the cost of online frauds via increased profits of the Bank as a whole for the sake of good reviews from customers is a moral hazard that should be avoided by all. “Customer is King” is fine but SBI YONO is perhaps keen safeguarding Royal wealth, sometimes at the cost of Royal wrath.
For the sake of transparency and fair disclosure, I served SBI as AGM, in charge of Vigilance Cases Inquiry. Hope my views are not overly biased.
Best app for sbi banking purposes
Outstanding experience with this app. Using the app from last 6-7 years in IOS and Android phones with zero lag.

Poor service
I was using this app before and it has good features. However when I changed my mobile & transferred my data from old mobile to new mobile it didn’t work. It said it will send an OTP to the mobile number registered. But I never received the OTP. I tried it several times with no success.
I deleted it on my old phone & reinstalled it on my new phone but still no success. It is such a good app but of no use. I hope the creator will atleast take a look at the negative reviews and update the app. If u r not serious, as most Indian govt services are (since they only work for salary), just don’t advertise about app on TV etc. Hope u take this serious and update the app addressing the issues in it.
