Registration process:
YONO is supported on iOS 11 and above.
Ø Install/Update new version of App from App Store and open.
Ø Allow all required permission (location).
Ø Select SIM of CBS Registered Mobile Number (RMN) and submit NEXT.
Ø An encrypted SMS with a unique code will be sent from the device to a pre-defined Number 7718965316 to verify the customer. Kindly note that for sending the SMS standard SMS charges are applicable as per your telecom plan. The SIM should have active outgoing SMS facility.
Ø If there are multiple CIFs attached with same mobile number, system will prompt for the account number and DOB for finding out a unique customer by the mobile number.
Ø If the customer is already having online banking facility of SBI, App will automatically prompt to proceed to Register on YONO with existing user credentials (Online Banking User ID and Password). After entering User ID and Password, customer will receive an OTP on Registered Mobile Number. User has to enter the OTP in the app to complete registration with an optional setting of MPIN.
Ø If the existing SBI customer is not having Online banking credentials, App will prompt to proceed to create INB credential using “Account Details” and “ATM Card” based registration process.
Ø If Non RMN SIM is selected, User will land on account opening screen. If customer claims that selected SIM is already registered with bank, user needs to visit nearest branch with KYC for updating/validating the mobile number in bank account.

The app has been developed with such a good UI that there seems no difficulty in finding out what is needed. I am using other bank apps also but all are way far behind.

latest update of app

latest update brings the options to the top of the phone screen and we are unable to select the options such as go back or log off

Worst app in name of security

My fone broke down which i was using the yono and now in new fone have not been able to instal or use it . The sms function never work for internation nri accounts . Bank staff and all service providers fail to get it up . Same for my wife new account again nri international sms does not work … Failed bank being a state run bank , God know who the f.. is developer does not have brains how other private banks works seemlesly ,

This app is useless if your an NRI

No use downloading this app if your an NRI you can’t do any transaction as they need Indian phone number to send OTP for any transaction. The toll free number to contact customer care is of no use as half of the time you can’t reach them and if you do by any luck u can’t hear them properly.
