* As iPads do not have NFC, they will only work through a Lightning or USB connection.

The Yubico Authenticator generates a code used to verify your identity as you are logging into various services. No connectivity needed!

iPad app no good

I checked the App Store said iPad is compatible. After installing it goes to the screen, 'how it works' 1st page says You will need a Yubikey 5Ci or a compatible YubiKey with NFC to get started Last page says If you have a YubiKey with NFC, pull down the main view to activate NFC. Pads don't have nfc also no lightning to usbC adapters will work.

I like the yubico key only thing is when using nfc it doesn’t ask for the key password .would be nice to add that function .

Thanks for adding NFC updates! Authenticator can now be set to expect nfc by default. A welcome change.

Latest update regression

The default action for a single tap on a code use to be copy, now it opens a submenu, then you have to click copy. Seems like a regression in UX. Also needs option to start NFC mode as soon as the app launches.

No iPad Pro Support

This App does not accept the YubiKey 5Ci (dual USB-C and Lighting connections), yet I can use it to log into sites sites like LastPass in Chrome on my iPad when connected via USB-C. It’s just plan laziness that they don’t get the USB-C YubiKeys to work on their own iPad app for iPad Pro’s when Google Chrome on the same device works.
