No freedom whatsoever and a true piece of trash in every way possible.

Reading PDFs in the files app is a traumatic experience. Just going through pages is often very jittery with the thumbnail view not being a very practical mode of viewing. But doing serious work on your PDFs is downright dangerous because, when using pencil tools, the app quite often goes chaotic and crashes not saving your recently made annotations and markups, which can waste a lot of time. The second star in this review is just for other functionalities like file browsing, document scanning, useful widgets and alike.

Very frustrating to use with local network folders. It forgets favorites, is very slow to load content and doesn’t show preview thumbnails. This wouldn’t be so bad if other apps wouldn’t use it by default.

Malice. Maybe hate. It doesn’t matter, I hold and harbour nothing but malice for this app that has scorn me without even thinking twice. For what? For not a singular reason would you create such a monstrosity. Normally apple does things for money… but no. This isn’t for the money. This is for their sick and twisted pleasure watching us grow attached to it ruining it and repeating this abusive cycle over and over again. You have scorn me. You have forsaken my people. I hate you.

Keeps crashing

Leuk die iCloud-opslag, maar daar heb je bij deze app niets aan met zo veel errors.

- Can't select a default screen when opening the app. It opens the old one. This is problematic for several reasons. 1. What if you open Files at work and your colleagues see things by accident that you do not want them to see? 2. What if you were connected to a server before and then at a different location where the server isn't available, try to open Files. It will try to load the server and try to connect to it but it isn't there. It's wasting a lot of time. - You also can't put a password on your folders. What if you have some stuff that you don't want other people to see when you sync your files to your MacBook? - Also can't easily edit an SMB connection and can't put any label on it.

i am going to stop one drive and possibly more american products. america has lost its way, good luck i am and many in europe are done with it.

Can you please reintegrate the function where you could let the document's title disappear with one tap? It is very distracting when I just want to read documents on my phone and I simply want to be able to read texts in full screen without any banner disturbing me.

De app is plotseling verdwenen van mijn ipad. Hij stond ophet openingsscherm. Wat helemaal vreemd is, ik kan de inhoud ervan benaderen als ik in de app store op ‘open’ klik. Hij staat dus blijkbaar wel ergens op mijn ipad, maar mag ik zelf misschien ook weten waar? Alle bestanden blijken ook in de map ‘pages’ te zitten, maar zijn op die plek vergrijsd, dwz. niet te openen.
