what to do if the app isnt in the options- like stumble guys?
Now whenever I open Instagram, I’ll always think twice on whether if I really wanna open it anot. So this kinda stops me from opening the app. I really hope this app can help me in long run😭🥹
I've tried other apps that do the same core thing (block addictive apps for a few seconds to help reduce the dopamine hit you get from opening the apps) - and this is the absolute best one. You can tell the developer cares about his users through being extremely thoughtful in the usability. I have three favourite functions: - Sometimes I need to switch to another app to copy and paste something or if I'm clicking a link (the link opens in browser) - you can set up one sec to allow you to go back to the original app again without having to go through another intervention. (This feature itself makes me continue to use this app - I have deleted other similar apps because the interventions were too annoying. Yes I want to be annoyed and that is the purpose but I don't want to be annoyed to the point of non-usability.) - I also love the doom-scrolling intervention which allows me to continue using social media but forces me to go through another intervention and actively reminds me of how long I have been using it. (Didn't realise how useful this was until I set it up - after clicking 3 or 4x of 15 mins, I realised I had been mindlessly scrolling social media for too long.) - Schedule time periods when certain apps are blocked. I set mine to my sleeping and productive hours. I don't use this function but URLs are blockable too, not just apps. Set up was easy. The basic features are great and the pro features are absolutely worth it if you are serious about being in control of your life instead of letting apps dictate it for you.
Great app for more mindful phone usage. Highly recommended
One sec has really helped me reduce my pointless media consumption. But I wish the “don’t get lost” notifications can also include the intention. E.g. your intention is xxx, are you still following it? Instead of the current more generic one. Also wish it could cover the whole screen so I can take a paise and think about it!
A very reliable app both for in-app and website urls. It has saved me from throwing countless hours of my life into browsing useless content so two thumbs up 👍👍 injects some mindfulness into browsing stuff online. Also thanks for constantly improving the features of the app I’ve been here from day one and whoa the things it can do has grown exponentially — the new URL addition has been awesome for stopping my mindless safari website consumption as well.
😹👽😹😹👽 not troll review it is quite effective and it’s literally free even though there’s a subscription but that’s for more advanced features
Locks me out of Chrome. I selected YouTube on Chrome, but it locked me out of Gmail and One Sec too
THANK YOU this app finally stops me from using so much of social media! i was able to bypass screentime so it meant nothing, but one sec made me break away from my addiction
