Great update!
Still my favorite podcast player on the iPhone.
No way to play entire podcast oldest first
I don't see a way to continuous-play a single podcast starting with the first (oldest) episode. There's no such feature that accomdates people who have just discovered a podcast and want to listen to everything automatically and chronologically. It seems unnecessarily complicated to achieve what should be a simple, obvious task. I just want to select a podcast and have a straightforward way to play everything automatically, starting from the first episode, without needing to select each episode to download.
Simple and Easy to Use
I’ve been using this app for my podcasts for quite some time now. It’s simple design makes it pleasant to look at and it is very intuitive to use with little-to-no learning curve. The smart speed and smart resume feature are great and make for a seamlessly smooth listening experience. To top it all off, it’s free! Definitely worth the shift from Apple Podcast or Spotify.

I was just wondering if it was possible to make separate playlists for the different podcasts....that would be great!
Since 2014
I’ve been using Overcast since its release in 2014. I purchased the one-time premium unlock at the time and they still honor it even though they switched to a subscription model. It has never left my phone. My Overcast app has been through 3 iPhones. I realized that I haven’t given it a 5 star rating in all those years. So here it is! Highly recommended for people who enjoy podcasts on their iOS device.
Strong in user experience
I love how how simple it is and clip sharing is a great feature. I only wish I could find some podcasts available in other platforms but not here.
The share clip feature is genius
I wish more music, podcast, video apps would add something like Overcast’s share clip feature. Still my favorite pod app, 5 years running.
