Crashes 4 times in 20 mins
App crashes and it isn’t able to resume where it last stopped. Podcast would start from the beginning. Really annoying bug. Running on iOS 18.0

The only podcast app you need
This is everything a podcast addict or casual needs. Smart playlists, automatic downloads and deleting, automatic pausing and rewinding when interrupted. Haven’t had the inkling to check out any other apps after using this. Premium is optional as you get 99.9% of the features already, but I chose to do so to support the one man team running this app. Perfect!
Something went wrong
Used this app for couple of years but for last month it keeps messing up. Stops playing after 5 minutes, forgets my podcasts or episodes I’m currently at etc. Can’t recommend at the moment

Seeing lot of complaints abt the redesig - I haven’t experienced any problems and still love the attention to detail ! what Marco explained on the podcast in modernising the codebase makes me optimistic about the future ! Thanks marco for the great work
Deleted every podcast from my phone
I’ve just updated Overcast and when I opened it, it told me that my login was not found (it worked before). I then chose “log out” from the modal dialog and Overcast deleted ALL my subscriptions and ALL the files present on my phone ready to be listened to. I use and love PocketCast, while I delegated a few podcasts to Overcast to try it out but now that I’ve lost all data about them, I can safely say that I can’t trust it anymore; as much as I like Marco.

….disappointing upgrade! Cancelled all, back to Spotify!
Long-time user: not a fan of 2024.7 update
Others have covered the 2024.7 issues in detail. More time in beta might have been good. I bought the legacy $4.99 premium unlock back in 2014 and wasn’t aware until now that I could have supported development via a subscription. This release didn’t provide much motivation to sign up. Thanks for a great product these last 10y, but I’ll look elsewhere now. My rating reflects my view of the 2024.7 release and the release process, not the arguably better past.
