Friend at work recommended this unit Brilliant works all 8 blinds in my house perfect. Not hard to set up Ten out of ten

Excellent Device

This Excellent Device works right off the bat. It’s brilliant. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

One button control of all my devices

This device adds simple control for all of your devices, all in one app. No more hunting for remotes or fresh batteries.

Took a while to set it up, but now it’s setup - it’s good!

Can use this app instead of using several different remotes for Sony TV, Toshiba air con, Apple TV and some other stuff. So far, it’s all working well - just need to setup voice control next.

Great App

Controls everything apart from the misses

Missing basic functionality

I feel this is missing some basic functionality such as adding a timer between steps (for example close blinds wait 5 seconds and then trigger stop command), being able to manually trigger and scheduling for specific second rather than minute.

Terrible and unreliable

From boxes without any clue as to what goes in them, to qr code reading that doesn’t work to demanding location services to setup an IR remote.

Unusable on iOS - developers not interested in fixing it

There are several serious issues with the app on iOS that make it unusable, such as scrolling vertically not working in some screens, buttons that do not load for some devices and incorrect channel icons. I took the time to report all these issues to the developers months ago, complete with screencasts only to be told that they aren't interested in adding "new features" and are focusing on new products. Very disappointing. This will be my last BroadLink purchase because of that attitude.

Getting to grips

Freesat works okay still try to connect to roller Blinds

Not enough pre coded appliances

I wanted to replicate the function of my Harmony hub with a standard Samsung TV, Sky Q and LG Sound Bar. I ended up having to programme from the remotes as none of the codes were in the database. Works but with a lot of effort!
