CuboAi Smart Baby Monitor

Update: PIP now available and it’s a great addition. Speaking of additions we have had one ourselves and decided to add another Cubo which has been fantastic. We are able to see high quality video of both of our girls at the same time. Awesome work from the devs. Thanks👏 Been using cubo for the last 4 months and it has been a great purchase. The only let down has been the app - it would be pretty much perfect if it allowed for iOS system wide Picture in Picture, but this seems to only work while in the cubo app. Developers - PLEASE - enable system wide PIP!

I have been using the CuboAi for about 10 months now. It’s mostly great, but I find the app super glitchy. If it all worked as supposed to I think it would be perfect. I find the feed often stops or lags (I have excellent internet so it isn’t that) so I can miss my baby waking up until I hear him screaming. I also find looking back at the feed very difficult, particularly when trying to look back just a few minutes. I’m often trying to check if a noise woke my baby, or if he woke himself, but it often won’t work until much later when I can look back. I love the way it highlights on the time feed when the baby was detected in the crib, helps if you are tracking nap times to look back. I love that I can play audio in the background of my phone (just wish it wouldn’t cut out). I loved having the pad monitoring breathing under the mattress for peace of mind, although I don’t know what the alarm would be if it detected no breathing (I would want it to be optional to make it loud to wake me). I have used all the different mount options as we changed bassinet to crib, and crib to bed and they are all great. Having the option to keep the view of the camera on screen when in other apps would be great. The face covered detection and cry detection is really good too. Overall pretty good device but would love the glitches to be resolved.

Really disappointed with this camera. The app is constantly having issues saying that it can’t connect or it is lagging. The whole point is to be able to watch my baby from another room and half the time I can’t get on to the app or it is lagging. Also annoyed that you spend so much money for the camera for the subscription to only last 12 months and after that you lose all the basic features that I purchased the camera for like rollover and covered face alerts. When we decide to have another baby, I’ll be investing money in a different monitor as this is not worth it in my opinion.

Please be specific about end user impact bugs that are fixed in updates

I cannot begin to express how dissatisfied I am with this app and product. The wifi connection drops out multiple times a day (for hours at a time) when every other device connected to our home wifi is perfect, including security cameras. The app is laggy, has logged me out in the middle of the night without cause, is stupidly expensive and the subscription is even more expensive. Without the subscription it does very little, much less than budget monitors. I bought the sleep pad as well for “ease of mind” but what good is that if it’s not connected?! I have woken to my baby screaming and distressed when the app disconnected in the middle of the night, what good is a $600 baby monitor, sleep pad and subscription if it doesn’t maintain a wifi connection? And before you respond with “if you haven’t already, please get in touch through the in app chat or email us” nonsense, I have MANY time and no solution has been provided. Beyond furious at this product and app. Will be demanding a refund.

Version 12 (and 12.1) on iPhone is a total disaster. Video jerks constantly and loses most of the frames. Audio cuts in and out constantly. PIP Feature exits after a few seconds of spluttering and skipping. Background Audio disappears randomly for all sorts of reasons WITHOUT ANY INDICATION it has done so…ie you might THINK you are monitoring your baby’s audio BUT NOT BE!! Weeks of contacting support and uploading video has achieved nothing. This needs to be fixed - we are paying for a subscription we cannot use 😔

For the first 4 months I had cubo, seemed to work fine. For the last couple months (maybe an update?) it constantly goes in an out of connection, there is a constant leg of about 3-4 seconds then has to catch back up and also kills my phone battery way faster then it used to. Checked my wifi/internet many times, which is fine for all other streaming and internet services (even 4K tv). Please make it work like it used to.

10/10 would not recommend this product. Whilst the monitor itself is great, the app is utterly useless. It drops out constantly, freezes, logs itself out and removes the sound. We face issues with it daily and our Wi-Fi connection is perfect.

App is frustratingly slow and clunky, making it difficult to navigate. Frequent bugs cause it to crash unexpectedly, which undermines its reliability and usefulness. Not recommended for parents seeking a dependable monitoring solution. Inreal that they haven’t bothered to fix the many issues with their app with an update
