eero Wi-Fi system

Why it is so slow and when you try to log in it is not working and after trying few times it is locking you out and no help whatsoever so now I have no Internet who knows for how long because I can't log in 🤦🏻‍♂️Maybe fix your app first then people will not try to log in few times.

Since relatively recently, the eero app keeps forgetting my login/I have to log in again all the time. This is extra annoying since eero doesn’t use a email/password combination, but instead sends me an email with a sign-in token, which always takes several minutes to arrive, and the email field is configured in a way where I don’t get the email address auto-suggested.

A bit wobbly but not too bad

Great flow and easy to follow. Works even on iPad as I didn’t have a laptop today. Looking forward to adding Alexa echo dots and ring DB. Use with confidence.

The eero can not tell you which devices (especially Apple products) are connected to your broadband. It only shows “unnamed devices”. It’s the very basic function for a router to tell the owner which devices are on. Of course some devices would like to keep their privacy. Then don’t connect to my router.

Update July '24 New software doesn't address any of the issues, simply adds support for the new range of expensive hardware. Now I know eero devices only function with an additional £100 subscription, I won't be purchasing again. Update Oct '23: Unfortunately, eero has once again restricted more app features with their latest update, further diminishing its usefulness without a premium subscription. Historical network activity is now limited to just the past week unless you pay extra (£100/yr). This continues an alarming trend of eero removing previously free functions and holding them hostage behind a subscription paywall. Considering the high cost of their hardware itself, it's very disappointing they are nickel-and-diming customers just to get full functionality from the app. With each update, they take away a little more unless you fork over more money. Most of the premium features aren't even useful for the average user anyway. I've been a loyal eero user for years but these constant money grabs have ruined the experience. The latest app update has also introduced more problems and instability than before. I used to enthusiastically recommend eero mesh routers, but can no longer do so in good faith with the way they are restricting the app's capabilities to squeeze more subscription fees out of their existing user base. I am now actively looking at alternative mesh systems from companies that don't employ these forced subscription gimmicks. Eero's deteriorating app and new subscription-based business model is costing them previously happy customers.

Eero hubs are great, but good luck getting logged back into the app once you’re done. It’s been months since I could log in as the “text verification code” does not work.

Until these security enhancements are added, the app remains vulnerable to unintended alterations, which can be frustrating for parents and guardians. Strengthening login protocols with biometric authentication would greatly improve the overall user experience and provide peace of mind knowing that the app’s settings are secure. This review highlights the importance of additional security features and suggests biometric authentication as a solution to prevent unauthorized access by children.
