Missing ability to add task duration (unable to time block)
Ultimately a good tasks app as due to it’s ability to sync across the Google Workspace, however it’s missing key features that other task management apps have.
Adding the ability to enter not just the start time, but the end time would give users the ability to time block on their calendars. This is super simple and effective for task management.
Other apps like TickTick, Todoist, etc. have had this for years…
I REALLY want this to be good
I love the google ecosystem and I love the premise of this app. A simple tasks app that since with google calendar.
HOWEVER. I have a bunch of tasks from years ago that I may have never checked as completed. There is no option to delete all historic tasks or mark them all as done.
Therefore when sorted by date the top tasks I see are from years ago. The only way to delete them is one at a time.
Using other sorting methods is useless. Fix this and I’m all in.
A further useful feature would be the ability to set any new task to “today” as a time. Ensuring it shows up on my calendar without having to press an extra 3 buttons.
Widgets aren’t working correctly
This is a great app but the widget does not work properly all. After selecting a specific list, it will change to the last list that was opened regardless of what was selected in the widget. I really hope this gets fixed as I like having separate widgets linked to different lists.

Items have to be managed individually where it would be more useful as batch; or, contrarily, only as a batch where it would be more useful individually. So there's little point in making different lists; it's easier to manage as one list with lots of comments. Which defeats the purpose entirely.
no widget
good but have to use the apple native version because it’s got a widget that shows me what my tasks are but this google one doesn’t, would love to use google as it syncs with everything else google i have :(

I can see that a number of the recommendations made by reviewers here have come to fruition, so thought I would add my 2c too!
It would be helpful to have a bigger widget, the size similar to the biggest iPhone Reminders widget. And not sure if possible, but it would be fantastic to be able to have multiple widgets from multiple profiles eg widget 1 - personal list, widget 2 - work list.
Basic recurring tasks do not work
Google says when you mark a recurring task as complete (for its first instance), “the next instance of your repeating tasks appears in your task list on the date specified.” THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN. It moves to completed and does not appear again in your task list. I can see 100s of complaints online dating back more than 5 years. How is this app still available with such a basic flaw????

Great, but needs colour
This app is great, and I find it really useful, but I would love to be able to colour code my tasks and task groups.
Task durations
Please add ability to search tasks on mobile and desktop.
Please add quick to add “task durations”, so we can plan and adjust for longer tasks. 30min, 45min, 1hr and custom. Optional mark as busy for Google calendar. Ability to share task links - to copy tasks or lists into CRMs for big projects where you need to track time like WorkflowMax. In Gmail a setting to “add Google task + archive email”. In Gmail don’t allow creating multiple tasks - grey out the button if task exists already. In Gmail show a badge/link to task - if the email has a related task.
