I love the auto trace feature of this app, once the change over to the new system happened I was worried I had lost all my files. Thankfully I found them but soon realised I would only be able to edit three. That was fine, I at least could continue using the apps and features I needed. Today I have logged in and the only feature that i use has now been limited as well with no warning (maybe I missed it but I didn’t see it until I looked on the website). I’m so disappointed. I will have to find another app. I would happily pay a one off cost for this app, but unfortunately I don’t think it’s worth paying the subscription price for a feature I only use once every now and then. Please let me edit my three files as was promised originally. I would happily change my review if this was rectified.

Was a good app with potential, now just another click bait app to get you to download only to find nothing works without an over priced subscription and the limited features in the free version don’t function enough to make you want to pay for it.

Excellent drawing app. There’s a lot of tools and options packed into it. A few extras would be appreciated: 1. Two finger pan keyboard trackpad with out using H key 2. Pinch to zoom on the keyboard trackpad

I had Vectornator, the original version of this app before it was bought out, changed all their branding, changed the app and the business model. I first got Vectornator (Linearity) years ago when I was looking for a vector program for the iPad Pro. I wanted something that wasn’t adobe and something that was a one off payment because as much as I like doing vector work and find it useful I definitely couldn’t justify a subscription for the minimal amount I would use it. The original app was great in its functionality and did everything I needed and thought the original operators did a great job of adding and updating things with no extra cost regularly. THEN IT ALL CHANGED! Vectornator changed to Linearity and forced everyone to create an account switch to a subscription service. TO BE CLEAR I paid for a full version of this app as a one off payment. Now, I have read some of the reviews here and see lots of disappointed customers with how the app has totally changed its business model. They’ve very sneakerly changed it out from under the customers who had already purchased the app before it changed. I’ve also read the replies from Linearity in regards to the access to the app. They say you can still have a free version of the app with some limitations on features. What about the people that have already paid! I went from having an app that I paid for with access to all features to now only being able to save ONLY 3 documents, ONLY save in lower resolution, ONLY save in selected file formats. It’s ridiculous! It’s like I purchased a car 3 years ago and paid in full when I got it and then the dealer coming to my house and saying it’s a subscription deal now and where going to limit your car to ONLY go 60km, ONLY the front doors work, you can ONLY use the windscreen wipers in 3min intervals…… If you want all those feature you paid for in full back, you’ll have to sign up to a subscription. Linearity say in the review comments you can try the free version to see how you like it before getting an (expensive) subscription. But what about people that want or need a vector program but aren’t professional or freelance illustrators or designs, they’re just small independent artists that use vectors to make enamel pins, embroidered patches and stickers to sell on Etsy here and there. When there are programs like PROCEATE that have a very low one off payment and continue to keep updating and updating and it’s the most well know iPad drawing app there is! I’m

Easy to use

I’ve been using the app for a few years on my iPad with the Apple Pencil back when it was Vectornator. I love the app and it’s helped me design many clocks for clients and enabled me to quickly share these designs with them prior to finalising. I then save it as an SVG and send to my laser or CNC programs so they can bring my drawing and creation to life, however the price of $200 per year is by far too much. I am one to very rarely pay for an app and I would have possibly considered $200 for life but $200 a year is just not viable for me and my micro business. I don’t use many of the features it has, but what I do use is easy and user friendly. I just wish the price was 😥 Please reconsider your pricing, I’m currently searching for a new app to replace this one due to its price 😢

Your app is an absolute ripoff. The $200.00 AUD/year is an exuberant fee. Affinity Designer has much better features for a one off payment of $30.00 AUD. So for now, until you get to your senses, and make it cheaper I’ll stick to Affinity.

Locking me out of my own files without warning was low, I’m done it’s this app!

I rarely use this app, but back when it was Vectornator, I enjoyed using it. I only just opened this app since the change to Linearity, hoping to make a vector image for an little engraving on a personal project, only to find out the app no longer lets you just use it. Now I have to create a clearly unnecessary account, seeing as it wasn't needed before. I did that and then got prompted to pay a subscription for their cloud storage, a service that was presented without any clear disclosure about data ownership & retention practices. I would much rather have kept the old app without any updates than this trash. And you can’t even get any “pro” features for a one time fee, if those features even exist. I can’t seem to work from any iCloud files directly but instead have to transfer them to the Linearity service, which only hosts 3 things. It’s also unclear that you are uploading your iCloud file to their cloud service when you click to open it. This was horrifying since the first file I opened to become familiar with the new UX held sensitive information, which I then had to figure out if I could delete it without losing my original file. This is no longer the app that I had initially. It’s a waste of space to have on my iPad. I have now deleted my account & the app. I have to hope that my data will actually get deleted.
