….but that’s rare! The connect to phone is very sporadic, to the app is hardly ever! When it has connected the wear time and goals are way out as are the steps, likely because it’s lost it connection! Definitely room for improvement, it could be a great tool if it worked consistently.
I’ve had Oticon aides for 4 years but replaced with Starkey last month. The Oticon app never failed me once in all the time I had their aides. The My Starkey app in comparison is useless. It continually ask to be upgraded but never allows an upgrade when attempting to do so. I have no control of my aides because of the app failure and as a result I will be handing my aides back into Boots and will get my money back and look to obtain new Oticon or similar aides.
I recently purchased a pair of Starkey Genesis AI hearing aids and downloaded the MyStarkey app which appeared to be a useful tool. Sadly it is not. It is most unreliable and rarely connects with my mobile phone. I changed from Samsung to an Apple phone. The result is no better. I have now bought the Starkey Remote Controller which is reliable and works every time I need it. This app needs work to improve it’s reliability.
I agree word for word with Lord Stainley’s review. Starkey make and sell very expensive hearing aids. Their products are badly let down by this unreliable programme.
App crashes…need to delete and upload time after time.
When it’s good it’s great, but so often it simply won’t connect to my hearing aid. So annoying
When it works, the app is fairly useful. It allows you to select settings for different environments -crowd, meeting etc - but it is very inconsistent and keeps dropping out for no apparent reason. Occasionally I get a ‘please restart’ message but nowhere can I find the means to do so. As a result I end up deleting the app, reloading it and then going through the rigmarole of setting it up again. Very frustrating and needs a lot of work
Customised choices ie car restaurant auditorium and the batteries are not available to view and check If it works off Bluetooth and not WiFi this suggests the App needs modifications
