What a waste of time, “Error - Retry” after three attempts! I’ll take may chances when we stop there on a cruise. If I can’t visit, oh well. I won’t consider it my loss just because they can’t get it right.

Download this free official New Zealand government app and use it to request your NZeTA and pay the IVL. The app is the fastest way to request an NZeTA and should take you less than 5 minutes.
You can use the app to scan your passport to upload your details and scan your credit or debit card for ease of payment.

Earlier the app was working but whenever i open the app it says “sorry an error occurred”. I deleted & reinstalled the app, but it says the same. It looks like its stuck.
Quick and Easy
Initially downloaded the 3rd party app and deleted once I realized the Official NZ app existed. Easy to use and received approved ETA almost immediately. No extra fees charged like the 3rd party app wanted to assess.
Does Not Work
For weeks, opening the app just says “Sorry, an error occurred.” Deleting an reinstalling the app doesn’t fix this.

would give it zero rating if i could. never goes past the initial screen stating ‘sorry an error occurred’. expected better from a government run app. tried on different phones at different times but to no avail. what a waste of time.

Very faulty and frustrating. DON’T BOTHER
This app does not work at all, I’ve been trying for the last hour to upload my info but it keeps getting stuck or have some “unexpected error” notification. I don’t trust this app to use my credit card at all. AVOID this foolishness if you want to keep your sanity in tact!
Don’t use
When the data transmission is completed, and there is an error after payment, it can no longer be started.
Awful
Go online & do it manually. This app is a 0/10, if I could do less than 1 star I would. Don’t even bother downloading the app & trying it, just Google the website.
Useless
Never works, just sends a variety of error messages.
