The recent updates are good- where is the additional protection for hosts?
The app is great for managing the business on the go. But there isn’t an option for the Host to cancel bookings and report certain bookers/ profiles. Minimum protection for the host- Booker verification process has to be better! I’ve had about 50+ no shows, all from various profiles from the same fake address (Cecil Towers) and phone number- is it too hard for Booking.com to figure this out? Even after my 50+ complaints with the Booker contact details? 2 in the last 24hours, thankfully cancelled, but the cancellation fee applies- as a Sri Lankan host, I’m not able to charge cancellation fees through Booking.com. So I have to wait until I have the opportunity to dispute the charges I have to pay through my Host invoice. The the usual reply- I should have charged the cancellation fee at the point of booking- how is this possible for a booking cancelled within 5 minutes? Shouldn’t Booking do this for me as they should have a credit card linked to the profile?
