Skillshare: Creativity Classes

I love this app as a collective of teachings into the world of the creative mind. Take what you need, do the work that sits well with you and you will learn so much. The only challenge is which path to choose first! A challenge indeed for us creatives who love a bit of everything!

No email reminder before they took my money, now I’m down £130 for something I won’t use, seems that costumer service are unwilling to do anything!

This is my second year using skill share and I have found many different mediums to work in. The tutors have been exceptional and it has enabled me to access courses that other wise I would not have found in my local area. I have used tutors working in all mediums and also tried Froyal with her use of collage which was very interesting and would certainly not have used them if I had not enrolled in skill share. Thank you skill share.

In App purchase information suggests some reasonable monthly options however upon signing up for a free 30 day trial you have just two options- £179.99 for an annual pass billed on one instalment or £49.99 for a rolling monthly contract.

Currently 1.7 stars!*** I signed up for Skillshare expecting transparency and fairness, but instead, I was met with shady renewal tactics and outright refusal to adhere to consumer protection laws. They renewed my subscription without giving proper notice, and when I reached out for a refund, they hid behind their internal policies, which blatantly ignore UK consumer law. Their team claims to have sent a renewal reminder, but I received no such email. Even worse, they completely disregarded my legal right to a 14-day cooling-off period, which is a statutory requirement for digital subscriptions under UK law. Skillshare’s customer service is dismissive, and their so-called “refund policy” is nothing more than a shield for their money-grabbing practices. They care more about locking people into subscriptions than fostering goodwill or retaining loyal customers. If you’re thinking of signing up, be warned: Skillshare prioritises profits over principles. I’ll never use their platform again and am actively warning others to stay away. Companies like this should not be allowed to operate unchecked.

One might charitably describe Skillshare as a masterclass in administrative incompetence. Signed up expecting something rather promising - an educational platform with potential. What transpired was less an learning experience and more an exercise in financial frustration. The billing mechanism operates with all the subtlety of a parking warden on commission. Their automated system dispatches charges with such ruthless efficiency, one might almost admire the mechanism if it weren't so monumentally irritating. Customer support? A robotic performance that would make Gatwick Airport's information desk seem positively communicative. Their "free" trial is about as genuine as a £3 note - which, I might add, would provide substantially more educational value. In summary: save your pounds, preserve your patience. Regards, Rhodes
