Im able to read articles reliably but thats about it. Commenting on the articles barely seems to work for me and the option to view the non-default fanbase’ discussion rarely if ever works. Please don’t make me have to go back to discussing football on Reddit
Do not use this company
Absolutely awful customer service. They took £59 from my account with no warning or prior notice and refuse to refund me! It’s ruined my Christmas and I couldn’t be more upset. Want to leave 0 stars.
Issues
Often issues with the podcasts e.g. They won't play. Atm I can't write any comments I just get an error message. The comment section and formatting and writing texts is pretty rubbish
The best football journal by far
I love everything about the Athletic, the Totally Football podcast is my favourite podcast and is a complete bonus on top of all the written content.
Difficulty logging in
I have many apps but none come near the Athletic for difficulty in logging in and maintaining easy access.
The Athletic
Even though I select ‘international’ rather than ‘north America’ for the regional choice, I still can’t screen out all the coverage of American sport. That is quite irritating when I subscribe to get football coverage and have zero interest in American football and basketball.
Otherwise, football coverage is in depth and decent enough.
Good news, terrible for podcasts
The news UI is great. Well done. The experience regularly playing podcasts is awful. Too many issues to list here, but…
Auto downloads (and deletes), and remembering my listening position shouldn’t be too hard to implement.
Rip off
Signed up for free 7 day trial, get charged the full year straight away with no refund. Articles are not great, basically 10 minute read with graphs and stats…stay away
