If you’re not using Turo as an alternative to traditional car renting then you’re nuts! A++

Best first impression ever

After years of using conventional car rental agencies, I can’t imagine ever going back. Turo is vastly more personal, friendly and provides a “bespoke” customer service which is hard to beat.

As a first time user of Turo we had a great experience. Flexible helpful host and a great vehicle that suited our family group really well. Will be using this again for sure.

Worst rental car experience ever

If you are dealing with international travel, avoid at all cost!!! I recently use my local currency to book the rental. After the booking, the host is expecting me to go to a residential address to pick up the car (30 min away from the international airport). Isn’t it the whole reason to get a rental car in another city is to get around easily? After a few trials to contact the host with no response, I had to cancel the booking because it’s giving me too much stress, but the refund I received is lower than what I paid. I tried contacting the customer service team, I find their responses quite rude and unhelpful. And their explanation is the difference is from the currency exchange. So as a consumer, I’ll have to take the loss due to the host’s lack of communication and unreasonable demand on where to pick up the car?? This is my first time to try the platform, but I would say I would NEVER use it ever again! I would 100% avoid using this platform!

Hidden Charges

James1077 on

Don’t bother. The app is a scam with hidden charges throughout taking the advertised price and, in some cases, more than doubling it with fees, taxes and other charges.
