Favorite option
It doesn't have the feature to mark favorite songs, you have to make a playlist manually and also it doesn't have the feature to prevent adding duplicate songs. Please pleaseeee fix these two bugs.

When you will fix problem with list equalizer settings?
Fix this problem pls. App is forgotting last selected eq preset. After relaunch app, I have old eq preset
Encoding
The application does not handle non-English SRT encoding very well (getting weird characters instead of local ones). The same set of files work fine in another app.

Chromecast
Chromecast doesn’t work, it tries to, but fails every time. The app itself is also as unintuitive as possible. Sometimes it doesn’t even let you know that it failed and just gives up. I’m really disappointed considering the fact that VLC is my go to media player on PC.

Not optimized for iPad / mobile. Love VLC on PC but here it’s much worse.

Informations how to create the playlist is useless and total disrespect for the users time. Wish there were zero stars!
Nothing to complain, Great app
Because 'Play Local Files' was fixed, I have nothing to complain about, as it works pretty much as well as it worked before my negative review, which was excellent for my particular way of usage of this programme. Works great for me, although I don't know about the more advanced functions.
Version 3.6.4 - new annoying bugs
Last update introduced new annoying bug: playlists get deleted randomly. It happened to me 2 times without any reason. It is very annoying when I don’t have time and just want to listen while doing more my work but I need to make my whole playlist again. iPhone14,4/iOS - 18.2 & 18.2.1/vlc: 3.6.4
