The absolute best. It plays most media types and it has almost all controls that you need for the media.
Awesome video player
I was reading the various 1 star reviews and nearly all of them are PEBCAK errors of some sort. A bit comical about the expectations people have of a free media player. VLC for iOS is a great media player that can play most file formats from either internal storage, local network, or cloud. I use it near daily. And the price is hard to beat. Developers are doing a great job!
picture-in-picture support?
I thought this app used to have picture in picture support, but I can no longer find it.

What is to dislike?
I don’t understand the 3.6 rating. People need to learn to appreciate.
Skips the first seconds of songs when using Bluetooth headphones
And I’ve not been able to find the solution. People say there is none. I use VLC player on my PC and used it on Android, but it’s a trash app on iOS. The skipping is only one of many issues. iOS has terrible options for music players when you want to play your own mp3s in general, though. But VLC is one of the most frustrating I’ve dealt with.
Surprisingly disappointing
VLC fo pc is great. This app for iPhone is surprisingly disappointing.
Love this app
This app is great for playing music and videos but when it comes to using drop box there should be a way to automatically download every song instead of manually downloading each one
