Shirabe Jisho

I’ve used this app for quite a while and it is very useful for translating and learning more Japanese as I work on getting to N1 level Japanese.

The SRS and bookmark system is simply insane. I use it everyday and learnt thousands of words.

One of the best apps for studying Japanese and looking up random words you find. There are so many occasions that I find Kanji I am unsure of and instead of trying to look it up based on stroke order, I open up the app and write the kanji and get the meaning immediately. Makes reading books in Japanese much easier.

I also don't write reviews and yep. Came here just to say, this app is everything. I’ve never seen this recommended and I wish it was. This app has so many features you need to study and quickly look up words and conjugations. I couldn't recommend a download more!!

if you use jisho.org this is like everything that website has but it’s snappier and more convenient because everything is downloaded on your phone so you can use it without service. i used it in japan when i didn’t have my hotspot and it was so amazing! there’s example sentences for most definitions of the word without having to click on a link like jisho.org. you can favorite words, bookmark, add notes, and there’s tags for if the word is common. there’s just no tag for jlpt level or wanikani level, but i don’t find it necessary. anyways, if you need a fast and convenient japanese-english dictionary, this one’s the best! thank you for making this app free!

This program combines all of the best qualities of other electronic Japanese dictionaries into one application for all of your needs!

I use this app more than any other, it’s always on the right hand side of my reading/ gaming/ study materials. The written kanji input recognition is insane, the radical input option is easy, the example sentences and conjugations for each word are invaluable, and it’s wild ability to recognize conjugated queries is so so helpful. Perfect app.

One request: can I sort the words in bookmarks by the time they were added? Most recent first? Thank you :D
