My Fave Running App

I’ve tried various apps over the years. Give it a few months, and then I select the app. C25K is the ONLY app I’ve had on my phone for hard and come back to over and over. I wouldn’t call myself a runner - and this app does a great job helping to pace me when I start back down the journey of wanting to do a 5K! LOVE!

No treadmill option

Nickname rule is dumb on

Overall it’s a good app but every so often I have to run on a treadmill and it doesn’t have an option to input mileage and other information after the run.

Now we have to pay for the same app that used to be free. Frustrating that improving health comes with a cost. No wonder so many are unhealthy

My daughter shared this app with me when she was in college almost 10 years ago. I ALWAYS come back and start with Week 1 when it’s been way too long since my last run. Gets me motivated and ready to keep at it!

I really like the idea of going from little to no exercise to being able to run a 5k. I was very active as a kid but then life happens and health took a back seat. I attempted the app a few years ago and didn't make it past week 3. There are a lot of factors to consider other than your determination to complete the app. For one breathing is important, learning to listen to your body if you need an extra rest/recovery day, and especially for women with a cycle not working out the week before your period. At least in my case. After taking all that into account I've got my first 5k scheduled for this fall. I'm currently on week 5 and this app is one more step in helping me reach my fitness goals. I you need to repeat a day of the week do so, if you need to skip ahead a day do it. The most important thing is to lace up and get running.

Terrible direction

The 5k training portion used to be part of the free app and you just dealt with ads/pop ups for other apps. Now you get 4 days or some tbh into before you have to pay $5 a month basically ($15 for 3 months). It would be one thing if they added something and kept what was already free. The dev is going to say it’s to help the community or whatever canned response they’re putting on poor reviews but seems to me that the community will probably shrink. I know I’m not using this app anymore.

I have used this program MANY times in the last 10 years or so and every time i am in awe that I’m capable to actually run and for how long i can do it for. I highly highly recommend this app if you are wanting to start running. Just stay consistent with it and it will not fail you!!!
