Craft: Write docs, AI editing

Craft.do's recent pricing updates promised no changes for existing users, but I was constantly prompted to "update to pro" when using certain features. The notification functions were unreliable, and compared to Notion, Craft.do falls short. Disappointed and switching to Notion for a better experience.

Best notes application I’ve ever used, it’s incredibly easy to use doesn’t waste your time and as a designer I appreciate the fact that your documents look incredible right out the box with minimal work to make them look better. The free version is pretty limited if you want to take multiple notes, but if you believe the pro version is worth it for what you want to do with the app, the experience remains amazing.

Very nice app... But missing the toggle list

This app completely drowned me in with its intuitiveness. The controls are very sleek and carefully crafted. It goes beyond the traditional model of taking notes by pressing a ton of buttons for style, going back and forth with cursors, selecting text areas, managing sections manually etc. A gesture based input experience that is truly unique and feels super native. As for the pricing it follows a subscription model that ensures development, as many other great note-taking apps do. Great work! 🙏🏻

I would easily give this app a 5 star rating if it weren’t for the limited free version. I would be OK with it if there was an option for a one time subscription payment as well, but there is not. I’m very disappointed since other than that the app was truly amazing and I really loved using it. Seems I will have to stick with the stock notes app on my phone.

But I can’t help kind of hating this app. Maybe because I was so excited for it, the letdown feels so much greater. In my mind, the point of using craft instead of a much more capable tool like obsidian or Logseq is that it’s beautiful. Naturally, the first thing I try to do is create some notes and then collect them on a document, styled as Craft’s cards or pages. Guess what? You can’t. Unless you had the foresight to create a note as a card, you’re stuck with plain text links. Guess what happens when I try to style those plain links as cards? Instead of doing that, craft creates a new, empty page with my link as the title. The best part is that you can’t even use the link anymore because tapping it only opens the keyboard. It feels as though everything is like this. When I actually try to DO something that leans into Craft’s strengths. It just pushes back. I really wanted it to be my end all app, but it sure won’t at this rate.

I switched from Notion to Craft a couple of years ago and have not looked back. At the time, I mainly switched due to Craft’s ability to run offline while I was on a flight but the speed, responsiveness, and general level of polish of the experience kept me hooked. The ease of linking notes eventually led to creating a whole PKM system that has become indispensable. More recent features like the day notes, and tasks are just sweeting the pot further.

Pro user cannot use AI

I’ve been an early supporter and appreciate the details and work the developers put into this app. Only things missing are a) end-to-end encryption and make it easier to download attachments in bulk from notes

I have used all iterations of Craft including website, Mac, Ipad, and Iphone for my job in the medical field on a daily basis for almost 2 years. I would recommend the development of an Apple Watch app specially for To-do lists, and possibly entry of oral notes. Developer team is also highly responsive. I hope they listen to my recc. Kindly
