The best note taking app for Mac ecosystem

ArinBasu on

This is intuitive, productive, useful in every sense. The design is intuitive and pleasing. You open a document and start anywhere. Markdown is first class citizen in this app. It does not have tags but they have a better, more intuitive system of related documents with back link that can serve as your index zettel if that’s what you want to use it for. All geekiness in the app I hidden beneath an intuitive interface. Lives up to the promise of why we like Apple to this day - nice looking, functional, “just works” as it should.

Blind people write too

Jonathan Mosen on

Very disappointing that an app that has got so much attention has significant VoiceOver accessibility issues. It appears no attempt has been made to make it accessible.

Superb app, but needs tag-based filtering and a permanent sidebar

Gentleman Professor on

Craft is an excellent app with great bidirectional linking capabilities, and sub-notes (which are great at reducing clutter). Two main weaknesses compared to Evernote: 1. Can’t filter by tags, which could make larger databases unwieldy. 2. You can’t keep the note list visible while viewing/editing a note’s contents; you have to go into the note to read/edit, then move back out to see the note list. In Evernote, you can keep the note list visible at all times and quickly move between notes. This is essential for an efficient workflow. Overall, I’m looking forward to seeing how this develops going forward.

Great note taking app

Niuniutt on

love the block based note taking app, really easy to use and sync between my devices. Must try for someone who loves organising their digital notes.
